Which video editing software do you use?

I posted this on the photography board as well but thought it might serve me well here too. We did Windows movie maker in the past but the new version is horrible. We bought a new HD camcorder and it records in achdv. So what do you all use?

What's horrible with Windows Movie maker?

It doesn't support avchd and they took the timeline away and you can't adjust audio/songs anymore on the newest version. I don't want to have to convert the video to be able to run it in WMM.

Well, I use Pinnacle on a PC.

iMovie on my mac

and occasionally Photoshop Premiere on the PC, but I think the new version works on mac or pc ( #9 )

iMovie. DD will shoot stuff on one of our flips and it turns out a pretty good product (even though she's used to real cameras & AVID at school).
