Which value season is best to travel?

We love early september, it is hot and humid but you cannot beat it for no lines and a great time...

Secondly we love the week after Thanksgiving...hardly anyone there all the decorations up, and mostly warmish..but it can be cold so be prepared.

We had a great trip in September--weather was just right for swimming!!! (we didn't have any rain). We went this past January and were in SHOCK over the crowds--they were unbelievable!!!! We won't do that again!!!!!--and it did rain when we were there in January--the parks were still crowded beyond belief!!!!

Can I ask what week in January you went and found it crowded? We keep saying we're going to try January 'cuz it's supposed to be *dead* at WDW ....

My wife and I go every January and love it. The parks are empty (I don't think I have waited for more then 15 minutes for any ride or show). We have found that travel is also very easy this time of year as it is off-season for airlines as well as WDW.

The weather is the only "real" problem; you have to pack for both cool and warm temperatures. We have gone from wearing shorts and tee shirts to jeans and a light jacket in the span of a few hours. If you are able to pack light enough or don't mind bringing an extra suitcase for just-in-case cloths I can't imagine going back to our original trips back in the day during the summer/fall months.

We just returned from WDW - I was afraid of going in September, b/c I thought it would be too hot.

It wasn't too hot at all! We were there for 6 days, and only had one afternoon thundershower.

There were NO CROWDS AT ALL! (Although, I'm sure a normal Sept. is more crowded than this one due to all of the hurricanes.) The longest wait we had for any ride was 10 minutes.

And, the weather was still warm enough to enjoy the water parks!

We have been there in early November a few times and always had great weather. Highs in the 80s. We wore shorts and tshirts the whole time, nighttime included. It never rained, during the day. I think it did once when we were sleeping.

We went, last year, the first week in December, and had to wear jeans all but one day. It was in the low 70s.

I would pick early November, obviously...look at my countdown! :)
