Which Use Year?

Hi everyone, we are finally looking to purchase our first DVC contract after many, many trips to WDW and are wondering what the best use year would be for us? We travel to Disney once a year for 7-10 nights. The months that we normally travel are either March, August or December ( not Christmas week).

I was originally looking at either Feb or Dec but now I am thinking that maybe August would be best, that way if we ever had to bank points for any of those months trips we would still be in the 8 months banking window.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Not Feb.

Aug or Dec should be fine. (But do consider whether you might travel in late November or July...)

We decided on an October use year because we went once over the summer and never plan to again, mostly because of the heat! That way, our 8-month window is October to the end of May. While we may do an occasional September trip, that seemed to fit us best. You're smart to plan around the 8-month window. It sounds like August is a smart move, but keep in mind -- your plans (and mine!) may change in the future.

I personally like the December use year because we like going the first two weeks of a December but if we decide to go another winter month it also works well
