which type of room/villa is the most difficult to book besides a grand villa?

we typically will be in a 2 bedroom...are these difficult to get...we will be traveling in early june....

the standard BWV rooms (especially the studios) seem to book quickly

2BRs are often the last to go at any of the resorts. June is often an easy time to get even at 7 months out. Where you are more likely to find issues for June if you do not reserve 11 months out are for reserve categories where there are a limited number of rooms -- BWV standard view (because of lower point cost and limited number of rooms) and boardwalk view (because of view and limited number of rooms), AKV value rooms and possibly standard view (limited number of rooms and lower point cost), AKV concierge (only five 2BRs). Also, VWL and BCV (regardless of room size) can be difficult at 7 months out simply because those two have the fewest total number of rooms of all the resorts.

What are the most popular times for Grand Villas and the least popular times then?

All times of year are popular for Grand Villas. There are a limited number of GVs. They usually go quickly during the 11 month window regardless of time of year being reserved. They are sometimes available later but don't presume you can ever get one unless you call early in the 11 month window. Even then, you should seriously consider calling day by day to reserve at the opening of the 11 month window, meaning, for example, if you want June 5 to June 10, call July 6 the year before to reserve June 5, call July 7 to reserve June 6, etc. and make those calls each day as soon as MS opens.

least - some of the busiest time - because the high point cost.

when you probably can't get one - Sept, Dec, Jan - because of the low point costs.

but even in Sept some are empty.

that say one of the busiest time is also the time when a GV is hard to get - Christmas to NY.

that is why BCV and VWL don't have them. DVC wants everything full or as close to full as it gets.

if you are talking about resorts - I would add the value villas at AKV. bit they will go pretty fast.
