My FIL and I will be running the DL half in Sept.:cool1: I want to send in the proof of time that will put us the furthest forward. Our WDW times were horrible, so we won't use those. But the half we ran in Sept was 2:26 for him and 2:36 for me. There is a 10k race coming up in April that we are going to do. If we run say a 1:10 time, would that be better to submit than the half time? Or won't it matter? Just wondering what race I should use as proof.

Thanks for any insight or suggestions!

I'm not sure how Disney translates various distances but using the McMillan Running Calculator a 1:10:00 10k translates to a 2:35:46 1/2 marathon. I would imagine that Disney uses something similiar.
Hope that helps!

Yea I'm willing to bet they use the standard calculator. But they probably will also give you a few minutes (if you submitted say a 2;26 but said your expected finish was 2:20 they would corral you with the 2:20s - now if you submitted a 3:20 and were asking for 2:20 then there'd be an issue)

Hey buddy!!

Its the St. John/St. Anns Spring Run-off at the Corning preserve. There is a 5 and 10k. I may also be doing a run the next day in Schenectady to benefit the St. Peters ALS center. My best friends dad has ALS and they try to do as many events that benefit the center and research as possible.

You signed up for anything?

Not yet. I am still in the "get back into running" routine. I plan to run the Freihofers Run For Women with my daughter and the rest of the girls in her elementary school but that won't be for a time. I usually run as the "pick up" mom, urging the stragglers to finish. Which is harder than running the race sometimes since I'm dying to run a little faster and have to adjust my pace to the 8 and 9 year old struggling to finish...

I hear ya. I did that with my DD when she did Girls on the Run in December. Except my kid is one of the stragglers.......

The Y has a series of runs through the summer and fall. I really hate that ours (So. Saratoga) is the only one held on a weeknight. All the others are on Sat or Sun am. Plus its in August so its hot at 6:30 pm.
