Which time frame would you choose, late January or early February?

If you had the choice of which week you could go, which would you choose? Looking for which time frame would be the least crowded.

1. January 25th-29th
(Wednesday-Sunday)

2. February 1st-5th
(Wednesday-Sunday as well)

nothing stands out for those dates with holidays, marathons or other things. I'd be surprised if you noticed a difference between the two in crowd levels. Btw, crowds are never low anymore so it's going to be crowded no matter what week you pick.

That's what I am afraid of. I think that there is some sort of dance championship in the first weekend in February.

There is always something of that sort going on in the (formerly) "slow season."

But, those kind of events don't really fill the theme parks (as the participants are involved in the competitions elsewhere on property much of the time) but they can put extra guests in the Value and Moderate resorts.

I moved my winter trips from January to early February. As long as you avoid the official resorts for the cheer competition it doesn't make a huge difference. My daughter was in competitive dance and the UCA/UDA nationals is serious, serious business. We spent most of our visits practicing/competing and very little time in the parks. I find that there are far fewer "large groups of under-supervised teens" to deal with in early February.

I would base it on cost. If one week is cheaper than the other go with it.

I am a frequent Jan/Feb traveler to Disney and I agree there isn't much difference with regards to crowds. I would check for pricing and see if there is a better deal and choose that week. I am going Feb 10th :yay:

Ya, I do know enough that we really need to stay at a deluxe hotel or DVC for sure, so that is going to happen. Plus my oldest daughter really insists that we stay deluxe this trip.

I just booked my solo trip for Feb 2-7. Didn't even base my decision on crowds lol just gonna hope for the best because I really need a solo trip. We just got back from Labor Day week and boy were we spoiled with awesome low crowds, so I am not expecting that but I'll have fun regardless.
