Which Ticket Discount Will Most Excite You?

Inspired by WDWDad's post on the ticket discounts, I thought a poll of DIS DVC'ers might be interesting.

If DVC announced tomorrow that they were offering a discount on only one type of ticket, which would you want it to be?

Of course, in the best of all worlds they'll offer a discount on all of them and let us decide what works best.

I'm sure the AP discount will be the most popular, but as someone that only goes to WDW every other year I would prefer the PH discount.

Definitely the AP!

I was torn between the PH and AP. We don't plan on going down more than once a year so we wouldn't get as much benefit of an AP as others but with the discount it would be close to what we spend on 6 day PHP's. The benefit to us would be being able to go in and out of the parks as we please not having to plan park/non-park days and the resort discount codes.

...but lower PHP's would lower the trip costs.

I have to vote for PHs. APs won't help us much and we don't use the "perks" to make the LOS worth it. Just my $.02.

That would depend on the amount of the discount. DW and I go 2-3 times a year so a good AP discount would be good for us, but the "kids" come along every few years so PHPs would work for them. I would like to see a 15-20% on all passes. Something like they said we would get way back when we joined in '93.

I am PRAYING for the discount on the AP. We had one this year and I got spoiled, really felt like I had "the key to the kingdom." If they are discounted, it will be a no-brainer and I will get 4 of them every year.

I already voted, but does anyone know when the ticket prices might go up again? Do they go up every year, around the same time? I know there was just a ticket increase back in March this year. Will there be another next year, around the same time?

Honestly the current deal is fine for us as we get our passes at the buy 1 get one half price deal here in Canada but if they were to change it I would like to see the hoppers changed no need for it on the AP.

We like the option of the Park Hoper passes any length. We generally only go to the parks about 1/2 the days we are there so these would work well. Right now we buy a 7 day PH and use it for 2 years. BUT, if we got an AP we could go more often . . .

I am torn about both AP PH I would definitely get the AP for DH DS and myself but I would want PH for family.

Most definitely the APs. I know that many others here make only 1 trip with DVC but there seems to be more folks getting, at the least, 2 trips a year from DVC.

We'd probably continue to get LOSs - they really do work well for us....but I voted for hoppers which will start to work better in a few years when the kids get a little older.

I don't see us going often enough to make APs worth while - unless we'd switch our time of year when the kids get older and go in the summer when we aren't worried about the number of days they are out of school and are worried about crowds.
