Which thing at WDW do you find challenges you the most as a photographer?

......
But probably most of all is being in the spot that you want to get a great picture, but at the right time of day. I'd love to be able to have the time by myself to roam around World Showcase right before dusk. Of course when traveling with the family getting time like that is near impossible. Also getting an early breakfast ADR at CP in December to get into the park before official opening to get that GREAT early morning light on the Castle and having almost no guests around. Of course you'd have to know months in advance that the particular morning you choose is going to have great weather.

I was actually able to pull this off last Tuesday!!! :cool1: My DW had made an ADR at CRT for 8:05am. They let us into the park at 7:30!!! AND THE PARK DIDN'T OPEN TILL 9:00!!!! I was able to get almost half a dozen pictures of main street w/o anyone there! And we were able to finish breakfast before it opened so I was able to wait in the tunnel of CRT for the rope drop with the Fairy Godmother!! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! :goodvibes

RBennett,

We had ressies Nov. 30th, last year, for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. We had a very early time for CRT. I was so excited! Then I found out that we were going the morning of the taping of the Christmas Day parade at WDW!!! We were let in before the general public. I got some pictures of DGD in her princess gown on Main St, with the castle in the background, but there were other people in the picture. (How dare they be there when we're there!;) )
I'm glad it worked out for you!!!:goodvibes

NICE!!!!!

I had 8:05 ADR at CP back in June '06. I was able to get some nice shots of Main St. The lighting was pretty good. I also got a few of the castle with only 1 or 2 people in the shot. We were running a little late and DW was 5 1/2 months pregnant so her patience for me running off and stopping to take pictures when he was hungry was VERY low. I've seen a few peoples pics who got shots at that same time but in December and the light was just awesome. In December at 745am the sun has only been up for a little more than an hour. In June its been up for close to 3 hours.

1) Getting to WDW. It's expensive and time consuming.
2) Getting all my camera gear passed security.
3) Carrying all my camera gear.
4) Stuffing all my gear into that little net on Soarin'.
5) Getting all those dang tourists out of my way.
6) Removing the watermarks from the pictures I want to keep.
7) Getting my kids to smile and act natural when we are on the six take of the same shot.
8) Setting up my tripod on the Rockin' Roller Coaster (it's too dark for hand held shots, even with IS).
9) Getting shots that aren't blurry in the 3D movies. I've heard that a polarizer helps, but I thought they were just for cutting glare and making sky's bluer.
10) Staying awake long enough to get a few shots during the Hall of Presidents show.

LOL!

Ok I don't know if this is where I should post this question but here it goes anyway. How do you get pictures of the shows that say no flash photography? I tried on our last trip to get pics at fantasmic and failed. I have 9 months to learn how to use my camera and get great pics not just good ones. :rotfl:
thanks to anyone who can help me
Michelle

11 words:

"I'll catch up in a second, let me get this shot"

This is a big one for me plus when I say to my family "Oh come on; just one more photo with ..... (insert character's name) :lmao:
