OK- so we have decided to go to Disney for Xmas. :santa: I have booked SSR only studio available. I am missing one night at OKW which is the 23rd but could waitlist that night and switch the reservation. We have stayed at both and I much prefer OKW. I also have Kidani and VWL :wizard: on waitlist.

Only missing two nights at Kidana.

What advice would you give me?? Book what I want and waitlist the nights not availabe and keep checking online to try to find a night here and there to add or just keep my SSR studio and hope for some Pixie dust on the waitlist!

BCV has our first night available also...I thought about taking it and just waitlisting the other nights but I know it is a long shot!

Admittedly, OKW has the biggest rooms, however, getting to the main building is such a hassle. Taking the internal bus or walking a very long way just does not appeal.

I have been renting points lately and know what is available. I would stick with SSR. It is easy to get around and you can walk to Downtown Disney.

They all use buses to get everywhere, so from that standpoint it is pretty much a level playing field.

Did you put in a request for Congress Park? It is closer to the main building, which is pretty convenient.

Whatever you end up with, I hope you have a great time! At least you are at DisneyWorld for Christmas!

Where is the 23rd in your reservation? If it is the first night I would book the available days at OKW WL for the 23rd but would keep the night of the 23rd at SSR as backup if you have enough points. You might have to change resorts if it doesn't happen. You could WL the whole time at the resort you want most while keeping the SSR until the WL comes through. There is less chance of getting the whole reservation than just one day. If the 23rd is in the middle then taking a chance of having to change rooms twice may not be worth it. I think VWL is your least likely to come through because of its size and popularity over the Christmas season. Good luck - Christmas is great at Disney as long as you are prepared for the crowds and plan your days accordingly.

Thanks for the help. Yes...availability is very limited. This online booking is addicting ha!

So I kept SSR 12/21 to 12/24.

Waitlisted OKW 12/21 to 12/24. OKW has all nights but the 23rd. My dh really loves this resort and even if it is a studio I am crossing my fingers to get a room close to HH.

Waitlisted VWL for 12/21 to 12/24. May change to BCV since BCV has the first night availble. VWL has nothing.

The 25th to 27th we are staying on cash wherever we can get a member discount or possibly a moderate...never stayed at one so worth or shot!

I am sure availability will change as we get closer!
