Which Studio? Please Help? Please help me. I am renting points from a friend and I don't know which resort to stay at. I have been to Disney every year for the past 8 years. Last year we stayed at Poly and loved it!!!!! I really want to stay at BWV but I am traveling with DH, DS8, DS2 and my mother. I don't want to sleep on the pullout sofa because I'm afraid it won't be comfortable and I am not going to have my mom sleep on it. Currently we have a ressie at OKW (studio) due to the two queen beds but I am concerned it won't have that Disney resort feel. We just love Disney and don't want to be disappointed. A 2BR is not in the budget and the 1BR won't solve our bed problem. Any ideas? :Pinkbounc :cool1: :flower1:

Sounds to me you have a problem. One solution would be get the 1BR bring an Aero bed. Kids in pull out, DH on Areo bed, you and mom share King, or 2yo in pack and play, DH and 8yo in pull out. Otherwise it's going be to one crowed studio.
Just my 2 cents

Some people bring an aerobed and put it on top of the matress for the pull out.

But if you want two queen beds in a studio, its OKW. You will probably be pleasantly surprised by how much you like OKW.

Another option is to book two studios. DVC doesn't guarentee they will be close to each other, but your Mom could have her own room with her own bed.

Thanks for your input. I thought about booking two studios and we may do that. Any thoughts on OKW compared to BWV or BCV? Thanks. :flower: :Pinkbounc

If you stay at OKW be aware that not all buildings have elevators. If your mom has any mobility issues regarding stairs I would request a building with an elevator or ground floor.

I know VWL, BCV, and BWV have elevators (although BWV only has one set down by the end by the lobby).

OKW feels more like an apartment/condo complex and you can park outside of your unit. VWL, BCV, and BWV have more of a hotel feel and the parking is farther away. BCV and BWV have great access to MGM and Epcot.

If I were you, I would probably either spring for the 2 bedroom or try for two studios. It would be much more comfortable for your family and your mom.

You might be pleasantly surprised at how "Disney" OKW is. For those of us who stay there all the time, we wouldn't have it any other way. BTW, the 1 bedroom at OKW WOULD give you a lot more room and actually, more bed options as well. While the master has the king and the pacNplay, the living room has a very comfortable queen sized pull out sofa that has no bar and a quite comfortable solid matress. The cushions from the sofa make a nice bed on the floor for the 8 YO, or he might be happy sleeping on the love seat with blankets and pillow. FWIW, I would NOT try to put that number of people in a BWV or BCV studio. You will be packed in for sure! A 1 bedroom at any DVC resort will serve you much better, but OKW will give you the most space.

Do the studios at SSR have the newer sofa bed?
We had a 1 bed and I slept on the sofa bed. It was great!

there are a few posts commenting on how comfy these are.

I enjoyed our stay there and love the decor. I love OKW too but prefer the 1 bed when staying there but am happy I don't have to sleep on the pull out.
Maybe consider SSR??
