Which stroller to bring?

We are preparing for our trip at Christmas and DH and I started talking about which stroller to take. We have a very energetic 2 year old and he loves riding in his stroller. One stroller is a Maclaren and the other is a Winnie the Pooh umbrella stroller. My husband is worried someone might steal the Maclaren because when we were at Disneyland we literally walked out of the ride we were on to find someone trying to walk off with it... but I think that it would be the more convenient option, especially with the extra storage space and cup holders. Does anyone have any advice or opinions or even know where we can buy a small wheel lock for the stroller? I looked at Wal Mart, Target, and Babies R US but could not find one. TIA!!!

We typically rent strollers there at the parks. They provide room for them to either sit up or lay down for a nap. If you aren't worried about the nap part I would do the small and cheaper stroller. This year since we have 5 young kids going we are doing an umbrella stroller and also renting two doubles.

we took our maclaren and had no problems at all. i liked having the basket underneathe for storage and with most of the cheapy umbrella stroller, you don't get that.

Take the Mac! The handles are so much higher than other strollers and you can't beat the steering, especially with a toddler's weight in it. There are some small retractable locks you can use to put through the wheels that are available online.

I brought my BOB Double Revolution Duallie (jogger) - a pretty expensive stroller that I was quite nervous about. I just bought a combination bike lock and locked the wheel to the base of the stroller. I couldn't imagine that someone would go to the trouble of dragging a stroller out so that they could cut the lock with bolt cutters I don't think you need a special stroller lock.

I've taken my Maclaren the past 2 years & it has been fine. I wouldn't worry. Yes, there are crappy people in the world who steal stupid stuff, but a basic umbrella stroller with no padding is just going to make for a cranky kid riding around that much!! And ditto to the cheaper locking option if you're worried -- I don't think you need to worry about something specially made for strollers.

We looked at renting but dude, I could buy a stroller for what it would cost to rent a stroller for 6-8 days!! So we'll either be purchasing or borrowing a second stroller to take with us. My 5 year old still tires easily from the walking, and my younger DD will be riding more this year (last year she was in the carrier a lot) and of course my over zealous husband donated our double and second single stroller already :lol: (AND my Ergo carrier. Don't get me started on that one )

I'd bring the Mac! I couldn't imagine a tiny basket, no recline, stooping over and forcing to push it for more than a few hours.

we bought two macs just for wdw. With all the walking you do I would HATE to have a short nadled cheepy umbrella stroller

We have a Philand Ted side by side stroller (~$600) and just took it to WDW two weeks ago and didn't have any problems with it. We did by a bike lock to put through the wheels but we never used it. I'd bring the Mac and label it well.
