Which "mini DP" venue at Epcot offers the best views for Illuminations? I would love to know what the top 2-3 are.

Thanks! :)

How small are we talking? 10 or fewer people? Hands down, it's UK Pubside:

For 10-20 people it's tough... all of them have overhanging tree branches that will obscure the high fireworks if you're having photos taken. If you're just wanting to enjoy the show, I felt like Canada overlook was closest to the fireworks, but people seem to love Norway.

I have shots of the fireworks from all these places here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/wdw-venue-photos/#park

Thank you so much Carrie-I was hoping you would reply to this :)

Yes, 10-20 people (closer to 10 or less). Is UK Pubside available for a party of 10 or less?

I'm looking to book a private DP for just DH, myself, & our 2 children. Is this an available option for UK Pubside or any of the mini-venues?? If so, where can I find pricing info?

I contacted Disney Catering last week concerning a Dessert Party at UK Pubside in January. The rental for Pubside is still $100 +6:5% but catering minimum has increased to $250 + 21% service charge and 6:5% tax. Just an FYI.

Thank you :) So, how does this work with the regular DP menu, which ranges in the $20+ per person range and has minimum # of people listed? How do you figure out how to get to the $250 minimum?

If we did this, we would want a combo of savory and sweet (preferably some plated meals and marshmallow squares for dessert OR some savory appetizers & marshmallow squares and another option for dessert)

Also, where can you find the savory options menus? I know the standard DP dessert menus are in Carrie's book & I have the 2011 version on my computer from my wedding DP. I've heard about people adding savory options on Carrie's podcast interviews, but never seen an actual menu.

Any ideas?

Menus are completely customizable, so they don't necessarily match the per-person food and beverage minimum. You just have to spend $250 before tax and service charge on food and beverage for your event.

Now if you want a plated meal, the food and beverage minimums go way up at most locations. So it's cheaper to call it a dessert party and add heavy appetizers than call it a sit-down meal.

There are no Epcot-specific dinner menus anymore. There's just the global WDW event menu which, again, is totally customizable and just suggestions. The DIS doesn't let us post PDFs, but if you PM me your email address I can send it to you. Alternatively, if you are a member of any of the Facebook groups for Disney brides, I've posted it in most of them. :thumbsup2

^^^ What lurkyloo said. In terms of adding savory items, we just asked and Disney told us what they could do. We're having popcorn & a Nacho bar, which I had seen from other brides so I had a feeling it would be possible, but I've also heard of people doing sliders, lo mein, french fry cones, all kinds of stuff. I'm not aware if there's any set menu apart from the desserts.

Thank you Carrie-will PM you right now!! I think the only FB bride page I belong to is the S/D one (where I had my wedding a few years ago). I would love to see the PDF of the global menu to start getting ideas! We are interested in booking a private DP for just my family for our 5 year anniversary, which is still 2 years away, but it will take us that long to save up, so I'm trtying to get general ideas now :)
