Just booked 3 nights at All Star Sports in February and would like to call and request a section that has been refurbished. Anyone know which sections are done? I was thinking my boys might like the Touchdown section.

definitely baseball - home run hotel - seem the pictures.

heard that touchdown was being done.

Touchdown was not done when we were there in August. Can't you just call the resort and ask?

Cathy

I'd heard that they were into Surf's Up. I requested Touchdown for my upcoming stay which has been refurbished.

All of the rooms at All Star Sports are slated to be finished in Feb. 2008.
So if they are refurbishing the rooms in a timely manner you should get a refurbished room.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

I recently stayed in Surf's Up which was already renovated. I know that they started with the Home Run section and were slowly making their way over. I would assume that Touchdown is already done since they've already gotten to Surf's Up. All renovations should be done by your trip in Feb 2008.

I just stayed in Surf's Up over this past weekend and room we stayed at (1208) did not appeared to be refurbished. I heard the new rooms have flat screen tv's which ours didn't. IT was a good location, though, since it faced the pool and was pretty close to the buses/food court.

Please do not confuse a flat screen Tv with the thin flat panel (LCD or Plasma Screen) TV's .
A flat screen is a regular box shape TV that has a flat screen in the front.
Here is a photo of the new flat screen TV's that are at All Star Sports and All Star Music:

If your TV and TV stand was like the one above than you were in a refurbished room.

I hope you enjoyed your trip to WDW!

My renovated Surf's Up room was in building 6 (Rm 6360). Maybe they hadn't gotten to Bldg 1 yet (or because of rolling renovations, they just hadn't gotten to your section of rooms yet). As for the flat screen tv's, I just want to clarify (since it was asked on another post) that the new tv's are "flatter screens" compared to the old tv's, but they are not LCD/plasma tv's (which is what most people think of you say flat screen these days).

One sure way to figure out if your room was renovated....was your shower curtain on one of those rods that curved outwards (to give you more room)?
