Im hoping you guys can help me. I cant decide which section is best at CSR. We dont have a preferred room, its just my DS12 and I. Bus and pool are most important to me (i think). Being close to the main building would be nice but its not that important.

If im at castisas, is that the 2nd stop to be picked up on the way to the parks?

We stayed at CSR last Nov and loved it!

We were in Casitas 5 which is about 1/2 way between El Centro and the Dig Site. Best of all it is very close to bus stop #2 which is the first stop coming and going from the parks. We tried on our check out morning to get the bus at El Centro (bus stop #1) and waited so long for room on a MK bus that we ended up walking to stop #2 and got on the next bus with no problem. However, that bus was full by the time it got to El Centro (last stop coming and going). Now there was a broken down bus that caused a lot of the crowds for the MK bus that morning but being at stop #2 avoided getting caught in the jam.

Either Casitas 4 or 5 would put you near stop #2. The Casitas section is absolutely gorgeous too!

The casitas stop is bus stop #2, but it is the first stop picked up and dropped off when going to and from the parks.

If bus and pool are the priority, cabana 8A is a great choice. It is steps from the Dig Site and very close to the cabanas bus stop (stop #4, but third picked up and dropped off). If you want to be closer to the casitas stop, casita 4 is a very good choice, but it is a bit farther to the pool.

Non-preferred buldings closest to the pool: cabanas 8A and 8B and ranchos 7B

Non-preferred buildings closest to the bus stops - casitas 4, ranchos 6A, cabanas 8A (and parts of cabanas 8B) and cabanas 9B

Thank you both for the info. So now i have to decide which is better, being the first bus stop to be picked up, or being close to the pool.

Is Castisas 4 that much further from the dig site than Cabanas 8A?

You will be closer to a quiet pool with casita 4, closer to the Dig Site with casita 5.

I think being at the first bus stop is more important. The walk to the Dig Site is always the same but you never know if a bus problem could arise like we saw and buses are full by the time they get to the third stop. Plus it saves you about 5-10 minuteson the return trip.

But the sections do differ in looks so that may impact your decision as well.

You make a very good point re the bus stop. Something to think about. I think your right, it would be better to be close to the first stop. Plus Castisas is gorgeous. Thanks for your help.

Casitas are a little confusing 2,4, are oriented towards the back while 1,3,5, are not. Casita 2 has one part that is the 4th floor but no elevator to get to it. It took us days to figure out how to get around them :scratchin Best part really was how close bus stop #2 was. Enjoy.

We prefer to be closer to the pool - the cabanas are our favorite section. We have never had to stand when getting a bus at the cabanas stop, but we haven't been at CSR for Christmas or Easter. We have been during the summer. We have never had a full bus at the cabanas stop, and we always go for rope drop.

I'm sure you know, OP, but your request is just a request unless you book a preferred room. There are ten non-preferred buildings at CSR, and only two are in the casitas.

I do think the casitas are the prettiest, but we go to the Dig Site every day and like to have a short walk when we are wet from the pool.

We aren't really pool people but have stayed several times in Casitas 4 and really appreciate being close to Bus Stop 2 (1st on/1st off).

Now im more confused than ever, Lol. Your right about the convenience of being close to the pool. You indicated you went during summer and the bus was never full. Now im leaning more towards my original thought....cabanas 8a or 8b.

Yes i realise its just a request....but I've been pretty lucky so far! :-)

We were there in Nov but again, the bus situation was mostly caused by a broken down bus. It was not typical so you should be fine where you stay. CSR is just magical!

Thanks, im super excited about CSR. Im sure it'll be great no matte where we stay. :cool1::woohoo:

We stayed in Cabanas 8b last summer and loved the location! Very close to the pool and bus stop right outside the building. The beach area by the water was so nice and relaxing. We did not book a water view, but ended up getting one anyway.
