Which Scooter?

I've rented a Pride 3 wheel Victory 10 scooter due to some unexpected broken bones. I'm thinking of switching it out for the GoGo Sport.

Is anyone is familiar with both the Pride Go Go Sport 3 wheel and the 3 wheel Pride Victory 10?

I'd like to be able to transport the Go Go Sport in a vehicle, though a little nervous about taking it apart and putting it back together again. It's such a pain to use the buses for everything, but not sure the Go Go Sport will be comfortable enough or last through long days.

Will I regret the Go Go if I switch?
Thanks

If you rent from Gold Mobility, the battery should last for the day as long as you are within the weight capacity on the GoGo sport, as they use extended batteries, anywhere else will likely have smaller batteries that won't last the day. Also, with Gold if you switch and find you don't like it, they will do their best to help you switch back.

I've rented both the GoGo sport and the Pride 3 wheel Victory 10, and the second to last time I rented the GoGo from them, they told me that they don't use the extended batteries any more because the company no longer supplied them. B-U-T a couple years later, I really needed the portability of the GoGo, so I rented it anyways, and DH, the one who broke it down, said that the battery was lots heavier than the one I have at home (also for a GoGo scooter) and the scooter lasted all day. The Pride 3 wheel Victory 10 is more comfortable, and it has the USB port for my phone and a fan, neither of which the GoGo has. But if I was ever to need that portability again, I wouldn't hesitate to rent the GoGo. But, boy, I'd miss that USB port!

Thanks to you both for your replies. I think I will stick with the Victory 10. I like to be comfy and don't want to worry all day about the battery getting low. Just won't be able to use the vehicle to get to breakfast so we may have to cancel the early morning eats since we can't depend on the buses. Ugh, what takes 15 minutes in the car will take us well over an hour or two. That's life, it's all about choices.
Thanks again, appreciate your reviews.

GoGo scooter battery should last all day if you weigh under 200lbs. The scooter is reasonably comfortable, just not as comfortable as the Victory.
MV can handle the scooter..Mears has a wheelchair vans which can handle a scooter

Thr Victory can be broken down and.transported in a van or SUV.

Gold has videos. The seat lifts out. The battery lifts out. Strong helpers, with a big enough vehicle, won't need to break down the scooter any further.

My mom did the go-go last summer and it was very easy to break down. My teen boys were able to easily load it into the back of our rented suv. Her battery lasted all day without ever going out of the green. Nit sure what she’s renting this year (but she’s either going with Walker or Gold’s).

We have gotten both the GoGo and the Victory for my Mom from Golds. She much prefers the GoGo. She finds the Victory too big for her. So I rented her the GoGo this year again. She is well under the weight and while we are out a lot of the day, it is never close to open to close for us, so I am not worried too much on the battery.

Yeah, I think they may have managed to get the extended batteries for them again, as DH found some for his mom's GoGo sport scooter and pointed Gold Mobility to where he found them.

BTW, while heavier, the Victory 10 can break down as well, but if you have a large enough vehicle and a strong enough person, that isn't necessary.

What DH does in our Ioniq 5 with his is as follows:
  • Puts the larger half of the back seat down (it is now pretty much always down)
  • Removes the seat and places it on the other side of the trunk space
  • Removes the basket and places it where it fits
  • lowers the tiller
  • puts the scooter in neutral
  • lifts the front of the scooter so that the front wheel is sitting on the back bumper
  • lifts the rear of the scooter up and pushes the scooter in
Doing it this way, the scooter itself acts as a lever, allowing it to be put in with less effort.

Also, to protect the back bumper, he uses this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JOPUTAC

You can usually find similar ones for a bit less than the current price there, but it gives the idea

Depending on the number in your party will depend on how big of a vehicle you need to do this. Also a Dodge Caravan or similar can have three adults and two Victory 10.2's, also having two people to lift does make it easier, but isn't essential once you know the trick and if you have a strong enough person.

Another option for the early morning eats are the accessible Minnie Vans, I do not know about at present, but I know before COVID, their prices were actually pretty reasonable and saved from having to rent a car.

It will be me, who can't lift anything with a broken ankle, and my sister. Both of us are over the official retirement age, so it's a no go on lifting the Victory 10. Thank you for all that information though. I am sure there are others who were wondering and will put the info to good use.

I'd go with the victory for the longer battery life.
Where will you be staying?

Beach Club Villas
Okay, BCV is the best place when having a scooter because you can ride over to Epcot, take the boat or skyliner to HS and possibly ride through epcot and take the monorail to MK.

I think you'll be fine with the victory since you'd only have to take a bus MK and AK.

Fair enough, then I would say use the Minnie Vans for morning eats that you can't easily get to. I see you are staying at Beach Club, so you can easily take the skyline, boats or even just drive the scooter to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, DH and I usually do the drive the scooter option. We also do that if we park hop between the two parks, it is a nice path. If the person not on the victory 10 doesn't want to walk, you can split up if necessary, say the boat already has the limit of scooters, you drive the scooter, they take the transportation and you will both get there about the same time.

I rented a Gogo Scooter once and it lasted me about 4 hours at the park. I now rent from Walker Mobility Scooter Rentals and their battery life will go an entire day/night at the park. They have custom made scooters that were made to be water resistant. I highly recommend. They have a video on their website at www.walkermobility.com under FAQS that you can watch that will show you how to take it apart.
