We will be staying at the Dolphin. Looking for ideas for dinner within the general hotel area for 2 adults and 2 kids that are fairly good eaters/not overly picky.... 10 and 13 years old. TIA!
Does anyone like seafood? We love the Cape May buffet dinner (in the Beach Club)---there's plenty to be had there for non-seafood eaters, but if no one is a fan of it then I wouldn't seek this place out. We also love the Yachtsman (in the Yacht Club) though it's more expensive. Beaches & Cream (Beach Club again) is great but very small so if you're trying to eat during prime dinner time expect a long wait. ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk is also fun.
If you have park hopper admission though, or are going to be in Epcot the day you're planning this dinner, the great thing about staying in this area is that a ton of great restaurants are just a 10-15ish minute (depending on your speed) walk away, or boat ride if you prefer. Lots of people can recommend World Showcase restaurants if you want to go for that option .
There is a tremendous amount of choices in the area including the restaurants at Swan and Dolphin. The area has everything from a pizza window or hot dog from a vendor to very fine dining. If you haven't already I'd suggest going to allears.net and check out the menus in the dining portion of their website. It has full menus including prices.
The best restaurants are those at the Swan/Dolphin. Shulas, bluezoo, Il Mulino. There's also Kiminos if you like sushi. We think they are much better than the others in the area.
Don't forget the Captain's Grille at the YC. We ate there a couple of times in Nov. and enjoyed the food. Our dgs had no complaints! Agree with others re: Cape May and Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Check out the menus for the restaurants. that might help you decide.
I would not recommend that. If they want burgers and ice cream, they might as well stay at the Dolphin and go to The Fountain restaurant. For one thing, the burgers have outclassed Beaches and Cream now, and you won't have as long a wait. So much better and convenient. And I used to be a huge fan of Beaches and Cream! I still go there, but given a choice, I'd go to The Fountain instead.
I agree with the comments that the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin are fabulous. I've been spending more time there on my most recent trips. It helped that they started accepting the Tables in Wonderland discount card!
