I need help making PS for our family, consisiting of ages ranging from 10 - 70, will be at WDW for New Year's Eve staying at BCV. Which restaurant would be good for the family? With the 90 day PS coming soon I want to be ready to call. :)

Well, a buffet is sure to please everyone, how about Boma at AKL?

If you're planning on spending NYE in one of the parks, you'd progably better plan on eating in that park. Our approach last year was to stay outside the chaos, and go to bed fairly early. This year we're planning on 'Ohana for NYE after a day at AK, but Boma sounds like a good choice, too.

We also decided last year to avoid the parks on NYE. We had dinner at Chef Mickeys and it was so much fun. With your party size and varitey of ages, I think Chef Mickey's would be loads of fun. After dinner you could visit one of the parks if you choose or head back to your resort. Either way Chef Mickey's is so festive and fun, perfect for celebrating the New Year :D

Thanks all for the advice. I was thinking of Boma's though Chef Mickey's is great too. We have been to both but my parents haven't been to either. I thought Boma's because my father would enjoy viewing the animals. Chef Mickey's would put us on the monorail and we could visit the monorail resorts and WL. Hmmm what to do... I have another question, since we aren't going to the parks NYE(taking your advice) what time should I make the PS? Thanks for the help.

We've only been at WDW two times for NYE...once was 1999/2000 and then again last year but both times we chose HoopdeDoo. Didn't want to face crowds at the parks or inflated prices at some resort restaurants. Worked out great for us. Plus you know you have a seat and a set time to eat.

Boma sounds like fun, too. I'd probably go earlier rather than later to minimize the wait. It might work better for seeing the animals before dinner and before it gets dark.

What park are you planning to attend on NYE day?

We were at Epcot last year and there were very few seatings left at any restaurant at 10:00 am in the morning. Like you, we had made PS well in advance. You may want to consider having lunch PS also. Those will be gone also.

We did Chefs de France for dinner and it was excellent. The only damper on the evening was the 4 inches of rain.

FYI, MK, MGM, and Epcot all were limiting admission to the parks on NYE day due to high crowd levels.
