I have stayed at Coronado Springs and love the lay out of the resort.
My Daughter and her husband want us to stay at Caribbean Beach.
What do you like about Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs and why?

we have not stayed at CSR but have stayed at CBR and were quite disappointed... the internal transportation was horrible (took me an hour-plus to get to the food court on the bus, had i realized i would have walked), the food court was quite boring and certain stations closed mid-day (3pm 'til 5pm) and grab 'n go was almost non-existent... we were much happier at pop, ASMu and POFQ!

We have stayed at both and prefer CSR........not really any one thing except we liked the Pepper Market set up over the food court. You can always split your stay between the two...........one move is no big deal! Enjoy!

I far prefer CSR. Even though the location of CBR may be a little more ideal, I think you'll be happier with CSR overall...

Have never stayed at Caribbean, but will be doing our 7th stay at Coronado. We have, however, eaten at the food court at the Caribbean and as other poster stated, some of the stations were closed and not much variety when we were there. We love the food court at the Coronado (Pepper Market) and therefore would suggest that.

Thanks everyone, I'm doing my best to talk her out of staying at Caribbean Beach, and trying to get her to stay at Coronado Springs. I have stayed at Coronado Springs two times and loved it. The Pepper Market really has good food court. Oh well maybe she will see it my way.

i've never been to either, but think i'd go with csr for a first trip

maybe because i've looked at buzz's pictures so many times!

Funny you posted this, DH and I had the same conversation last night. He's really into the theming of both CSR and CBR so he dosen't care which we stay at but now I'm faced with deciding between the 2. They are both pretty big so I just have to decide which one is better fit for our family (mommy, daddy, will be 5 year old daughter).

If you don't mind tons of conventioners with cell phones and laptops, as well as a premium price on CS meals, go with CSR. Pepper Market is not owned by Disney so the pricing on the food is higher than at other resorts. You also have to pay the gratuity if you want to sit down and eat inside the food court ( and that is whether you have a server or not ). The grounds at CSR are beautiful though. Personally, I would prefer CBR. I think the grounds are just as nice, and you also get the normal food pricing. I also prefer the CBR merchandise store alot better then CSR's. The one thing I would consider is the main pool. If that is important to you, then see if its still going to be under rehab. If not, then even better, cause you will have a newly rehabbed main pool! :)

I've been to both and have only returned to CSR. While I liked CBR, I really preferred CSR and will be going back for a 3rd time in March, this time as one of the dreaded cell-phone, laptop carrrying conventioneers but I still plan to go to WDW!

People crack me up with the convention thing at CSR. I've never been bothered with any of the conventions during our stay. CSR is not the only convention resort at WDW. GF, Y&BC, CR, Cont, BW and Swan and Dolphin are all convention resorts.

CSR has a great pool/slide, awesome transportation and great food. The food is a bit more because its made fresh and its better. Can you get a prime rib or rib eye steak at CBR's food court? If you don't want to pay the 10%, get your meal to go and eat at one of the great lake side tables with a great view. You won't find a better deal if your on the DDP.

I've never been to CBR's store but Panchitos is one of the largest I've seen at WDW compared to others I've seen at the BC and Cont.

I really like cbr, not that I don't like csr, it's just that I love the beach feel you see at cbr. Where we come from it's cold and when we visit disney world we love to go where it feels like were in the caribbean. We always seem to travel in Dec so maybe that's the reason.

Oh one more thing neither is bad.. How can it be, IT's Disney the happiest place on earth.

A very true statement. Although everyone has their personal preference, I'm just glad when I'm able to be at Disney! :)

:surfweb: We stayed at CBR in 05 and CSR in 06. I preferred CSR as did my family, wife, daughter 12 then, and son 6 (he loved the slide, my dtr loved the food, i loved them both)

If you choose CBR keep in mind that the theme pool is under construction and I dont know when it will be reopened.

We did enjoy our stay at CBr and I would have voted to return there the second trip. Now having experienced both, I could opt for CSR

Have fun

We've stayed at both resorts and CSR gets the nod.:thumbsup2

Better pool, pool slide, pool bar. The food court is WAY better at CSR and the resort layout is more convenient.

CBR is very spread out and we did not like the food court (or Shutters restaurant) at all  .
