Which resort with 2 small children?

Which resort would you reccomend with 2 young children ages 2 and 9 months? AKL or The Dolphin?

What parks are you going to the most...how many nights...

Definitely the Dolphin. I love staying there with my two toddlers. It's so easy to go back and forth to the parks, especially Epcot and MGM. An afternoon nap is a must for my kids. We found bus service from the Dolphin to be very good too. The Dolphin has some great discounted rates. Along with the teacher/govt/nurse rate, there's an AllEars rate, an AAA rate, and sometimes an Internet rate on their website.

Someday I'd like to stay at AKL, WL or Poly, but when the kids are young they don't really care where they stay.

If I were choosing between these two resorts for my little ones I would choose the Dolphin - it just so much closer to MGM and Epcot.

If I were offering a blind suggestion I would opt for a MK resort. I would assume that the children would want to spend the most time at MK and transportation to and from the MK resorts would be easiest. In fact, that was one of the reasons that we chose WL for this trip. Our little ones will be 4 and 17 mos and the idea of a boat to MK was appealing to us.

If choosing between those 2 resorts, I'd choose Dolphin because of its location to the parks. But if other resorts are in the voting, I vote for an MK resort (CR, Poly, GF) because of the monorail transportation. We have 1 year old twins and stayed at AKL when they were 7 mos. old and did not enjoy the bus transportation because of folding up our double stroller every time. We just stayed at CR last month and were in heaven because of the walkway to MK and also the monorail.

Does it have to be one of those? With two little ones I's recommend being very close to the Magic Kingdom because that is where most of oyur time will be spent. If you are looking for a low cost hotel near the MK the Wilderness Lodge is very comparable to AKL.

My children will be the same ages as yours when we go. I chose the WL for the some of the same reasons as mentioned: Boat ride to MK. I know we will spend most of our time at MK. THis was appealing to me, for the times when dd 18 mos. will need a nap.
