My fiance and I will be going to disney from sept 29 to oct 9, right now we are booked at the Wilderness Lodge. My fiance works for the FAA so he is eligible for the governmental discount at the Swan, it would save us only $450. I think it might be neat to stay at the Swan because it is within walking distance to Epcot and MGM, but I also do not want to miss out on any Disney Magic we might have at the Wilderness Lodge. I have also hear the counter service at Swan is very expensive and on top of that there are no refilable mugs and there is no magical express. Please let me know know what you guys think, thank you all :)

I am going to the Wilderness Lodge for my honeymoon! I have never been there before but from what I hear it is a very quiet and romantic resort. :bride: Good Luck and Congrats with whatever you choose!!!

wow thats tough...the swan is a beautiful resort & Ive stayed at WL & the atmosphere is amazing!!!

would you really benefit from the $450 savings??

some people/brides have done more than 1 resort for their stay...have you considered that??

If it was me...since i stayed at WL...id go to the swan...i LOVE the boardwalk area!!

well i think no matter what you go with...it will be amazing!!! you cant go wrong ...honestly!!:goodvibes

We love the wilderness lodge!! It is beautiful, romantic and a nice boat ride to magic kingdom!

I am very biased, but I have to say WL. But I think a split stay would be perfect since you're going for 10 days. Why not start out at the Swan and then change to WL or vice-versa. That way you get the best of both!

The $450 saving will actually be cut into as you will need transportation to/from MCO (no magical express as you said). However, the location, IMHO, of the Swolphin is great.

Transportation issue isn't that bad. We stayed at the Dolphin last May.

Also, they do have refillable mugs. We have ours at home now. Also, at the Dolphin, we had a view of Epcot (there are pictures in my trip report).
