Which Resort Pool is Worth Hopping To?

We will be on our anniversary trip in a couple of weeks. Planning to RELAX more than run around. We are staying at OKW this time and considering spending an afternoon or two at another resort pool to hang out and enjoy a drink and snack at the pool bar. Just not sure which ones might be worthwhile.

The Poly is my absolute favorite: view of fireworks, great bar, fun pool, just lovely.

We have also enjoyed the feature pool at Cornonado Springs-- the one with the pyramid.

SSR's feature pool is nice, but it tends to be crowded.

It is allowed for DVC members . There are certain restrictions and black out dates.

My daughter and I plan to hop to The poly pool and GF pool in June. We will be staying at BLT & BCV.

We are looking forward to it.

FWIW, one of our fave pool areas so far has been the Turtle Pond area quiet pool. So you might not have to go anywhere.

Other than that we love the Boardwalk pool. The idea of clown *anything else* freaks me out and always has (even before Stephen King terrified us all), but the clown at the Luna Park pool just cracks me up.

Oooo, I thought we could only hop to other DVC resorts! We just might try the Poly in Nov.!

How many hours do they let you pool hop for? Could I hang out at the pool for 2 hours then go eat? Wouldn't that take more than 3 hours? I've never wanted to do it b/c I don't wanna feel rushed. I could easily hang out at a pool for 5 hours (all afternoon).

I'm not aware of any time limit.

You are required to check with the resort (front desk) for permission and are subject to capacity meaning you could be asked to leave if it got too busy. It's also excluded at AKL/AKV, BLT & BCV plus I predict, GF and Poly coming up when the DVC's are open there.

For overall atmosphere, I would recommend the Wilderness Lodge.

Although smaller than some of the other resorts, being surrounded by the lodge and seeing the geyser is truly impressive.

The problem is that while that's what the rule states, the front desk often isn't aware of the perk at all and almost never are they aware of how busy the pool is.

We prefer the pool at whatever resort we're staying at. The idea of packing up a back and traveling to another resort's pool when we have one at our own resort seems odd to me.

But, we're also not beach people, we don't like to layout or hang at the pool for hours. It's usually a 30-90 minute event and the travel to/from time would be as much as the actual time at a pool.

I'm wondering if as more DVC's come online at each deluxe resort (GF and Poly), if pool hopping won't dissappear. Both because now there are DVC resorts you can choose to stay at for pool access and because of sure number of DVCers on property.
