We have one afternoon when we are free, and I thought it would be fun to go try out some great QS food.

We really liked POFQ's counter service, can't remember the name but the beniets(?) are great!

POR has a great CS. We also really enjoyed Mara when we stayed there...although smaller, they do have sme unique items (including hummus and soups from Boma! :thumbsup2 AKL is also a resort where you could check out the animals on the savanna too. Good luck deciding.

We like Captain Cook's in Poly. The Aloha Pork sandwich with Dole Whip for dessert is awesome :)

At Downtown Disney, Marketplace .... Earl of Sandwich. If you are on the dining plan, definitely take the time to try Wolfgang Puck Express. They are expensive, but with the DDP it is a CS credit. EXCELLENT food!!!!

We loved Roaring Forks in the WL!!! They have wonderful hand tossed salads, delicious sandwiches, a grill for hot dogs and burgers, and some very good flatbread pizzas with a variety of toppings, which were surprisingly delicious and nothing like the yucky Disney pizza at other CS places. WL is also a great resort to visit and walk around when you are done eating!

I'd also highly recommend Mara at AKL since the resort is worth a visit to look around. Usually a very good soup and some exotic foods in addition to standards. And Zebra Domes... Captain Cook's is also our second choice but it can be crowded since the space is tight.

Great post OP! I am also in need of some great QS restaurants at the resorts. Please keep the suggestions coming.

Mary

We loved POR food court, especially the build your own pasta bowl station. Unfortunately, I can't remember if that station is only open for dinner.

Not on the DDP - but in the Dolphin - just a boat ride away from EPCOT or DHS, is Picabu's. A very nice, colorful, A/C with table's to sit down at QS.

If you have AAA, you can get 20% off your meal at Picabu's. It is just off to the left of the door from the boat entrance into the Dolphin.

Here is a menu:

Food court at Pop has a good selection...lots of variety. The Mom's Night Out selections are especially nice.

We love Capt. Cook's. The adult grilled cheese sandwich is very good and I really liked the flatbread. My husband always loves their burgers and my son really enjoys the stir fried noodles. Plus you can get Dole Whip. :thumbsup2 This is the one CS we will go out of our way to eat at.

We enjoyed the Contempo Cafe when we were there in December. We usually get the DXDDP so we don't eat at QS much but we tried Contempo Cafe a few times while there and enjoyed them. We also enjoyed the Beach Club Marketplace. The sandwiches were really good. We usually save some credits and grab QS before we leave to bring with us on the ride home (we drive)

I vote for Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House

just the fact that you can get zebra domes for dessert makes this a winner for me!:thumbsup2

We love POR too! The create your own pasta station is open from 11 am until really late (11 pm maybe). You choose your meat, pasta, sauce, veggies & spices and they cook it to order. It is served with a piece of garlic bread that they call a breadstick. They also offer pizza, burgers, chicken, fish, gourmet sandwiches & a carving station. The bakery has great dessert option. We'll be eating dinner here Friday night! Woo hoo!!!

I am very excited to try Captain Cook's this trip. I'm just not sure what I'm going to get!!! :confused3 (Other than Dole whip for dessert:thumbsup2)
