Which resort has the best food court (counter service)?

POR has more options and a much larger seating area. We have walked over to POFQ when staying at POR and found the POFQ to be very busy, and we had to eat in the lounge. Also, the walk between POR and POFQ is a good 10 minutes and in direct sunlight on blacktop. We were sweaty doing this walk in September.

Thanks. Good information to know. It is so hard to guess about these things without seeing it. We are going in June. Not sure how fast I will wilt in the humidity.

I agree with the others - POR has the very best food court on Disney property. They have everything & it tastes good. Excellent choice! :thumbsup2

So true. Our first trip to POR, I had planned on going over to POFQ a few times for breakfast and for a change of scenery at the pool. From reading these boards, I had gotten the impression that the walk between the two resorts was negligible. After we did the walk once, we agreed that it was just long and hot enough where we didn't want to do it again. And we have no problems with walking.

Love POR food court. We get breakfast there probably half the time we are at the World. They have the best oatmeal. I know what you are thinking...oatmeal on vaca? Perish the thought. Well, they have 2 sizes, CS and snack size and about 15 toppings, choc chips, bananas, berries of all kinds, granola, nuts, etc. Delish and filling. Use your refillable mug and get the snack size and you'd be surprised what a quick little breakfast it is. You can also do a create your own yogurt parfait.

DD always gets the pasta of some sort. Their sandwiches are pretty good. The french fries can be hit or miss regarding crispiness, but generally we've had good luck at the Riverside Mill. Oh, they have ice cream and milkshakes, too. Check out: http://www.portorleans.org/riversidemill.php

I get otameal almost everyday in Disney. It's so good! Plus it counteracts the nasty side effect of all that salty fast food at most CS meals:rotfl2:

My vote is for POR. It is large, rarely insanely busy, lots of seating, and great selections. I have yet to find a deluxe food court/CS place that I like.

I am clearly in the minority, but I didn't like POR much at all. We found it was insanely busy, the staff was unpleasant (one woman took my order and then left the pasta station without making it) and the food - meh. The build your own pasta is good, but is one of the few good, fresh (not sitting under a heating lamp) options and gets redundant.

CSR - the wait staff was good, the cooks... not so much. We thought there were more options at Pepper Market and more selection for made-to-order items so it was fresher.

I would choose CSR over POR in a heartbeat.

Art Of Animation has this amazing pesto sandwich and a Make Your Own Salad station, which I loved.

I've enjoyed the CS at WL, Poly, CSR, and AKL all very much. I found the CS at POFQ and the Marketplace at the Beach Club to be very disappointing.

My favorite is POR food court. They have a wide variety of items to choose from. Love their salad station. They make them fresh for you while you stand there, and you tell them what you want in the salad, and their croutons and ranch dressing are the best, IMO.
