I am having a hard time choosing between Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans. I am a young newly wed and it is mine and my husbands 1st trip to wdw. Help please!!!

I really liked the PO resorts...Prefer FOFQ, then the AB section of POR then the CBR, then the Manions at POR..

I think you can't go wrong either place..but that is our families preference.

Cheers,
Josh

Congrats on your marriage! I think CSR is the most romantic of the mods. Check out pics and info and my CSR website below.

CBR is a beautiful romantic resort. The island with the hammocks, and secluded benches is a peaceful, romantic place to spend some time. Laying on the beach at night watching the high fireworks of Illuminations is another great thing to do.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the mods.

Neither!! CSR is the best for couples, in my opinion.

I have to agree with some of the other posters in that CSR is the nicest and most romantic moderate

POFQ hands down.

The only problem with the CSR is you feel the influx of the conventioneers. Yes I understand it's a great resort with lots to offer but who wants to be around all that while enjoying their newly time together.

POFQ is small and sorta sucluded with it's little streets and grand landscaping

CSR hands down!! It has a new outdoor lounge. You can sit and have drinks overlooking the lake which has spectacular views at night.

I have not stayed at CSR, although I visisted and thought it was very nice.
I loved POFQ. I loved its size (small) and themeing. I find it to be very romantic. My husband and I spent our first trip alone there. We were in building 5 with a River View.
Everything is nearby. The pool and Food Court, as well as the bus stop.
I think you would love POFQ

Here's a site with the "best" photo & slide presentation of ALL the resorts...check them out...
go to allearsnet.com, look under accomodations and ENJOY !! :goodvibes

IMHO...Hummm....1st WDW trip, newleyweds, no kids..once in a lifetime... :scratchin :scratchin
POLY no doubt about it and a MK view...even if you DO only a few days there then swap resorts!!!
GO for IT !! ;)

I've had multiple stays at CSR and have never seen any conventioneers. Unless you count the 12 year old carrying a chess set that was there for a youth chess tournament.

Oh, I forgot to add that CSR has a spa and you can get a couples massage. My aunt and I used the spa and it was great! They also have a steam room, tanning beds, and fitness center.

For my Honeymoon we split time at both CBR and POFQ. IT's really a horse a piece to me. Just make sure you get a room with a King bed in it. They tried to stick us in a room with 2 doubles and that just wasn't going to fly :rolleyes1

My wife and I booked a room as CSR at the end of Sept in 2004. There was a convention going on, and we had a 2 hour wait for the peppermill food court for coffee in the morning. The main pool was very crowded, and forget about getting in the hot tub.
We quickly switched over to POR in the AB section.
I realize that conventions are not always going on, but we could not enjoy CSR with all the commotion plus the construction, and we really enjoyed walking along the paths of POR in the early morning and evening hours.
Early morning it felt like we were the only people at the resort.
