My family is coming to WDW from 11/18-11/22.... We are interested in a 2 bedroom unit, but do not know which resort to go to for our first time. My kids are 11 & 12 and very adventurous.

thanks!

Probably BW or BC. My kids loved Storm-a-long bay at that age, and loved that we would let them walk into Epcot way ahead of us, and then wait at a certain spot inside the park. The men in our family love ESPN Club(I don't understand WHY), which is also right there, and the women loved the piano bar--I liked the sunshine, which I can get anywhere, so I'm easy to please :teeth: By the way, if your plans are not firm, postpone going until early December, when all the Christmas decorations are up. Disney is magical all the time, but especially so at Christmas. You can also get in on the Candlelight Processional, which is not to be missed. It's the story of the birth of Christ thru songs, and it's the hottest ticket around during the holiday season.

You might have to settle for what you can get at this point. Might be booked up pretty good right now. You're at the 7 month period for most of your time frame so any member can book at BWV and BCV.

At this point in time I would call to see what is available before deciding. You might find it hard to get into the Beach club or Boardwalk. If you want these then if they are not available you need to get on the waitlist ASAP. You can always switch to a lager resort later on. Good luck.

See what is available. You will enjoy any of the resorts. My advice is too prioritize what you want to do and the themes you would like to enjoy.

DVC Resort Themes
• Disney's Old Key West Resort -- Caribbean influenced, Key West style Victorian
• Disney's BoardWalk Villas -- 1930s urban Atlantic seaside village
• The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge -- early 1900s railroad workers' lodge, pre-dating the adjacent grand National Park Service lodge
• Disney's Beach Club Villas -- early 20th century Mid-Atlantic "stick-style" seaside resort
• Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa -- Turn-of-the-century (circa 1900) Upstate New York grand resort destination

DVC Locations
• If you want to be close to MK, then VWL is best.
• If you want to be close to Epcot or Studios then BWV or BCV is best
• If you want to be close to DD then SSR or OKW are best.

There are many variables to this question but given the ages of your children, I'd say BWV and BCV would be the best choice. All of the resorts will be fine but you'd need to bus or drive if you stay anywhere else since most of your theme park options will likely be at BCV or BWV. You are better off with a car for OKW and to a slightly lessor degree, SSR. You should formulate your plan then when you call, you can reserve what they have that fits your needs. The other questions are can you do with a 1 BR (are the kids the same gender) or what is your choice if they have a 1 BR at your prefered location but a 2 BR at a lower choice. Another consideration in favor of SSR for this option is that it's close to Disney Quest.
