Planning a trip for 2006. Originally planned on late October or November. What is the weather like for October and November? Is early November still ok for swimming? What are the concerns with Hurricanes, especially in October? And do I understand that the crowds are pretty thin? How about April or May (weather and crowds)?
We are also still debating about what resort to stay at. Our hope is to stay at the Polynesian. There will be 6 of us in 2 rooms. Kids will be 7 and 4. Grandparents are in their 70s, relatively good health. We would like the Poly because of the ease of transportation. Also, we like that there is a lot to do as far as relaxing around the resort (i.e. beach, relaxing walks, view of fireworks ) I want a place that my in-laws can enjoy....don't want them to die of exhaustion getting drug around place to place!! But we are concerned with the price.... That being said, if we have to go moderate, how are CSR and POR/FQ ....how spread out are they...will all 6 of us appreciate it? And how would AKL or WL fit in?
Finally, can anyone recommend any of the Disney travel specialists for trip planning? Thanks in advance for any input!

october is definitely still hot/beach weather, n november in general is still okay for swimming. theres usually a couple chilly days but for the most part it stays in the 80's until december (unfortunately lol)

april and may are good months weather wise, imo. not *toooo* hot, and not too stormy/gloomy either. :sunny:

I'm going next year, in November, for my 10th time, and I think November is a great time to go. We're going 11/4-11/11 and while some of it will overlap with Jersey Week, we're going for it anyway. Rain is minimal, and the crowds are moderate.

Late October would be fine too. Average rainfall for October is higher than November, but both months are better than the chilly Jan/Feb temps or the blazing temps in June/July/Aug/Set!

Have fun!

ive been to CSR frmo aug 28 to sept 02 ... well it rained every afternoon, but i think there was more rain than usual due to hurricane katrina. but i didnt really mind the rain....i was always in some attractions or somewhere else where it didnt disturb me ! and the crowds were soooo low, i only used fastpass tickets for the sake of it ;)

another great advantage was the dining plan, which we got for free because of promotion since i'm from germany ;) that was great...i was sooooooo stuffed every evening *g*

We love CSR because it is truely a beautiful resort, has a great main pool are (the best of the mods) and terrific transportation along with 2 great places to eat.

CSR does not share transportation with other resorts and though it is a large resort, it only has 4 bus stops. It also offers its guests an internal shuttle system if you do not want to walk.

Check out my CSR website below for pics, links and info.
