We've stayed at all the resorts, (owners of BCV) and we're planning on a graduation trip this July for our daughter, (18) son (age 16) and friends and their twin sons (18). Based on size, etc. which 2 BR villa would be the best to try to reserve? That said, which ones are easiest to acquire at the 7 month window?

Thanks!

I would definitely recommend BLT. The sleeper chair and 3rd bathroom make it more comfortable for a larger group.

Does it matter to which park you are close or do your kids have a favorite resort?

Since you have stayed at all the resorts, you know what you like. Where do you and the kids want to go? They are old enough to give you the opinion that really matters here.

I would try BLT or AKL Kidani just for the extra bathroom. No matter what, I would only get a dedicated two bedroom. I wouldn't want teenagers to have their own private exit.

we stayed at BLT in a 2 BR one year when we needed an extra night and we loved it! That said, my daughter is thinking we might like to try one of the treehouse (there will be 8 total.) I hadn't thought about AKL Kidani, I'l have to give that a second look. We're really not concerned about closeness to specific parks. My other thought is that OKW are the largest. As you can see, we're quite open at this point.

We loved being at kidani with teenagers and having the 3 full bathrooms/ were able to do a girls bath boys bath and adults bath.
Also loved the setup . It worked for us as the girls all stayed in the 2 queen sized beds in the 2nd bedroom and that bath was in that space and very large with a double sink. The boys had the sofa bed and sleeper chair area with bathroom by kitchen and DH and I the master bed/ bath . it was a dedicated 2 bedroom. You say you will have friends with you. Have you worked out who gets the master bed?

OKW is large, but IMO, it's not large enough to outweigh having 3 bathrooms. That's huge with 8 adults (I consider those teens as adults as far as bathroom use goes, LOL). So my advice is AKV-Kidani or BLT.

Book dedicated if you can so that only two people have to share a sleep sofa. (The lock-off 2 bedrooms will have one queen and a DOUBLE sleep sofa in the second bedroom, while the dedicated 2Bs have two queen beds in the 2nd bedroom).

Definitely choose a 3 bathroom option: either Kidani or BLT. With everyone getting ready at the same time 3 showers is much better than 2 showers.

Going in August with my side of the family (19 total). My brother and his wife and three daughters (ages 9-12) are staying with my husband and I and our two teen daughters (14 and 16) for a total of 9 in our villa. We booked a 2 BR at BLT for several reasons: 3 bathrooms, spacious villa ( stayed there before) and proximity to MK so kids can go off on their own easily. Also one sister has a 3 and 5 yo and one has a 6 and 8 yo so BLT easy for them for naps and rests.

BLT was our first choice. Second choice was BWV though smaller unit my 9 yo niece would fit on pull down bed and we would be right next to two parks. BCV was 3rd though one niece would have had to stay with my parents. We were here two years ago and the rehab is very needed but the proximity is great, pool is great and my mother really likes it. Last choice was AKL due to distance from everything (and my nieces are going on an African Safari either SILs family in July so we thought they might like a different theme).

That said my recommendation for your group with the older kids would be BLT, AKL and BWV in that order. Space and extra bathroom at first two are great, location at BLT and BWV Aldo great for your party. Whatever you decide have a wonderful time!

Edited to add: DH and I are in master, our girls in LR with one cousin, brother and SIL in 2nd bedroom with other two girls.

I like the tree house option since you would have three full bedrooms plus living room. We were able to get a tree house for july in the past at 7 months.

I would recommend BLT as well. We did this with 4 adults and 5 teenagers a few years ago. We brought an air mattress and put all 4 girls in the living room so they could hang out together at night. BLT has a great common room that is bigger than some of the others we have seen. The only issue we had was none of the girls would use the 3rd bathroom in the living area. The teenage boy and a dad ended up using it.

Why not? I could see with younger teens, but by the time they are graduating they should be responsible enough to be unsupervised. Where are they going to go?
