WARNING*************

DO NOT USE

PAYLESS CAR RENTAL AT THE AIRPORT!!!

They are truly SCAM ARTISTS! You can see for yourself just google them and read about the complaints. Worst Car Rental Agency ever.

Thanks for my vent!

Anyone rent from Dollar? I got a great rate but have no experience with them. I've only used Enterprise and Hertz but in different airports.

We used Dollar on our last trip two years ago and had no complaints! Car was clean and agents were helpful! Just make sure you check over the car and bring any marks to their attention ( which you should always do anywhere) the van they gave us was full of scrapes and they had no idea until we told them at pick up time!

Favorite by far is National-BUT we do not have Alamo at the Lexington, KY airport to compare.

Enterprise is by far the worst, which is weird because Enterprise and National are the same company. We have had bad luck with Enterrpise vehicles, from a breakdown, cigarette smoke out the wazoo to a loose oil pan dumping oil in my driveway.

Alamo has the kiosk at FLL airport too. My experiences were positive, very quick and the rates are usually the cheapest.

Been pleased with Alamo these last 7 trips to WDW. Always use on-line check-in so I can even avoid the kiosks at the airport!!

I usually have a coupon code when I rent with Alamo. I thought I couldnt do online check-in if using a coupon code. Is that true? Because I would love to do online check-in and avoid the kiosk if I can. :confused3

Enterprise, National, and Alamo are all owned by the same company. Enterprise Rent a Car bought National and Alamo about 3 years ago.

The cars you rent from Enterprise are the same cars that National rents and in most cases are all serviced at the same center. In fact you may rent a car from National that was just returned by someone who rented it from Enterprise. One reason you do not see the small little "e" stickers on the back of Enterprise cars any more is because the can be moved between all 3 brands fleets. It sounds to me that you may of just had some bad luck with some cars you rented from Enterprise becuase they could easily have come from National or Alamo or for that matter any rental car company.

We usually rent from Dollar both in WDW and in Los Angeles and have not had any problems at all. At WDW, we usually rent from the Regal Sun Resort location, which is just across the street from the eastern DTD bus stop. It's usually cheaper there than at the airport because they don't have to charge you all the airport fee(s). Plus we get to use Magical Express!! We'll be renting from there again this Oct for our MNSSHP trip!

I have used Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty, National & Alamo. I would have no problem renting from any major rental company and go with the one with the best price.

in addition to their great prices for Auto Club members, I've always found that Hertz has much nicer cars in their mid-size, full-size and premium car categories in numerous major cities across the country than the spartan and plastic-looking interiors, as well as underwhelming audio systems, that have plagued GM autos for decades.

National:thumbsup2especially @ MCO. DH is ExA, never a hassle mixing & matching codes when stopping @ garage booth on our way. All the employees have been courteous in our interactions.

We've used Alamo QS @ MCO when the National rates just don't work for us (usually a last minute trip). I dread dealing with their reps in the garage kiosk, in addition to DriversL, they always request whatever affinity card/printable coupon be produced along with CC used for reservation etc Several years ago, I forgot my entertainment card & had to switch to higher AAA rate on the spot, was a hassle to argue to get correct rate credited once we returned home.

I get it;), just spoiled by National who asks for DriversL & ExA card & we're on our way...don't even have to pull out the CC as it's already on master rental agreement. It's my understanding that Alamo/National are under same ownership, i don't get why their policy varies in same location
