Which rate is better? the 4/3 @ CSR or using the 40% from my Disney Visa?
I have played with so many numbers, my head is spinning!!!

4/3 is a better deal, IF you stay the full 7 nights. If you cut the trip short by even 1 day, you are better with the 40% off discount.

Very true. I of course was assuming she did, since she was thinking about using it. ;)

Yes, this year's 4/7 isn't quite what it was last year. I don't think you had to buy the 4 day pass last year (only 1 day, good for AP Holders) plus up through March WDW gave the $200 giftcard. I don't really even think the 5/7 for the Values is really worth it, if I were booking I probably would go with a moderate for the price. It seems there are so many options anymore and you have to figure them all out! Also, it looks like WDW is making some personnel changes for the parks (I heard it on CNBC yesterday) Who knows what changes that will bring. I think it was the financial officer going to head up the Park segment. Maybe that has something to do with no AP/FL offers for next year yet. I guess time will tell.

Also, not that this has to do with this particular thread, but I posted the phone number and code on the budget boards to get a $100 statement credit for new approved Disney Visa cards (it used to be a $100 gift card upon use, now the stmt credit)

I agree 100%. I REALLY hate that the family suites at the values are on the 5/2 deal. It does our family NOTHING as we can only go 5 nights (maybe 6 if we wanted to stretch it) due to drive time. We could do a cabin for a little cheaper on the 4/3 than we could do the suite on a 5/2, and I even thought about making the switch. But, because we have 2 other fams traveling with us and they only need a standard room, I'm happy to stay at the suites & keep an eye out for a good room only deal or a different PIN or package offer to come out. My PIN now is saving us about $500, but I sure would like to drop it another $300-500 if I can!

We had booked under the 4/3 deal to stay only 6 nights, ended up saving over $100 off that rate with the 40% deal. Corroborates the earlier post that the 4/3 is a better deal unless you're staying less than 7 nights.

We were staying more than 7 nights at had to pay rack for some of the nights under the 4/3. We also ended up paying more for the tickets with the 4/3. We just switched to the 40% deal with Disney Visa and saved $900. I called Disney and had them price it out. Definitely glad I called, and - as always - glad I happened to check these boards and learned about the new deal! So my advice - call and have them run the numbers for you.

I am interested in the Disney cc code, I can not find it on the budget boards, can you help me out on that, thanks.

The code is OIZ on their web site (once you log in and click special offers). I think the CM did ask me for the code when I called.

You also have to need the tickets with the 4/7 offer.
Even if you don't need the tickets, can't you save them and use them next time? We had the same dilemma trying to decide between 4/7 and Visa 40%. We normally only stay 5 nights, possibly could stretch it to 6, but as mentioned already, unless you're staying for the full 7 nights, 40% works better. But if we could swing staying for at least 6 nights, I had a CM suggest booking the 7 and then just checking out a day early, you'd have the room all day on your last full day in case you had a late flight. ~:)~

Yes, the tickets are good for future use but the savings is really on the rooms the cost between a 4 and 7 day pass is only aroung $9.00 per person. Why put out all that cash for tickets if you have the 40% off.

We are staying for 9 nights so for us, the 35% off a moderate (French Quarter  ) works out to save more money than the 4/3 deal as we get the 35% off each night :goodvibes So I guess it all depends on your situation.

You could always do a split reservation and book the 4/7 and then a 2 day with the 35% off. There is a small chance you would have to change rooms, but you might save some more. Usually Disney wants you to stay in the same room, it saves there time as well. When we had to have 2 reservations due to the cut off for AP discounts last fall, we stayed in the same room. Just another idea to ponder. You could get the longer pass with the 4/7 making that the first leg of your reservation to make up for the 2 extra days.
