Which Park Which Day?

So when we made plans for a quick weekend trip 3/16-19, I purchased 2-day 1 park per day tickets, with the plan to visit CA on Sunday (using the Extra Magic Hour perk), then DL on Monday (rope drop).

When the recent promotion was released, I realized I could upgrade to 3-day 1 park per day tickets for very little extra, and enjoy a park on Tuesday morning prior to leaving a little after noon. (Didn't take much arm twisting for me to pull the trigger on that plan!)

My inclination would be to have that Tuesday park be DL, to take advantage of EMH/MM (both of which are for DL on Tuesdays!). But in that circumstance - do I switch up my other days, to go DL Sunday (rope drop), CA Monday (EMH), DL Tuesday? That feels like it might be a little more fun, to switch it up more between parks - but I'm also a little leery of DL on a weekend day. Any thoughts appreciated, as always!!! (I love how much time I can spend strategizing about Disney visits!!!)

That time of year usually has park opening at 8AM and EMH at 7AM. To get the biggest bang for the buck at EMH, it is best to be over at the turnstiles by 6:30AM at the latest. That means leaving your hotel room by like 6:15AM.

From personal experience I will say that the average person has a hard time making this happen on multiple days. For us, on a four day trip, we are lucky if we make this twice over like a four day trip.

The first day is by far the easiest day to do EMH because usually you are not tired (yet LOL) and can get to bed a bit earlier the night before. Those flying in from the East Coast on the day prior have an easier time of this with the 3 hour time change.

When the parks open at 9AM or 10AM the above is just less true and that makes EMH a bit more valuable, IMO.

Keep this in mind when choosing days and EMHs!

Ah, points taken - but we are only traveling from the Bay Area, and I have two kids who are habitually awake by 6am. I do think my planning will be easier once the park hours are officially posted - I wasn't sure whether it would be opening at 8/EHM at 7, or opening 9/EMH 8.

Either way, there might be something to be said for just not feeling rushed each morning to get to the early entry option. Maybe I'll just stick with my Sunday CA/Monday DL plan and play Tuesday by ear (SO UNLIKE ME) - my boys may well be more excited by revisiting RSR and GotG (which they've never been on, loved ToT, though!) than getting an extra hour in DL!...
