I go nuts shopping for souvenirs when I am at Disney. This will be our first trip with our kids. Thanks!

I think it really depends on what you want. I like different things that would go with the decor in my house, so most of my souvenirs come from World Showcase in Epcot or Animal Kingdom. :goodvibes Downtown Disney is a great place for shopping, too. I always come home with stuff from multiple places from there. ::yes::

Souvenirs featuring Mickey and friends, other Disney characters and DW focused items can be found at all the parks. You'll find many of the same items in multiple stores within each park. At DTD the World of Disney is the largest store within DW that specializes in Disney merchandise.

There are stores in each of the World Showcase pavilions in Epcot that have many wonderful items from their respective countries. AK and AKL are sources of additional unique items from Africa not found anywhere else in DW.

We've also bought CDs of music featured in various rides and shows. Last trip we found we found a CD of music from AK attractions which we hadn't seen before.

Every park has lots of great souvenirs. As the PPs said, it really depends on what you are looking for. Each park has unique items that are specific to that park and/or ride. The World of Disney in DTD has the largest selection of items in one places, but they generally are not the park specific merchandise.

On my family's last trip, we focused on finding food-related items. We collected a lot of souvenir popcorn buckets (each park has a unique design), drink mug (shaped like the resort ones), and other items. These are some of my favorites...

The popcorn bucket from AK:

The R2D2 popcorn bucket at DHS (and MK, I think):

If you're Phineas and Ferb fans, there is the Doofenslurper at Epcot (recent reports say their sold out, but they be re-stocked):

Definitely World of Disney for everything you'll find in the parks in one place, but for things a little bit different the World Showcase at Epcot is a winner :goodvibes

My two favorite spots as well! I spend a TON of time shopping in Japan.....

I say Epcot is the best shopping - Not only just in World Showcase, but Mouse Gears in Future World is one of the best "Disney" shops on property (in my opinion).

does moise (sic) gears and world of disney carry the same merchandise

Mouse Gear does have a few unique things they do not have at the DTD store, but it is pretty close.

I bought the most in MK but I typically just buy pins and the emporium has a lot of ones I liked.

Figment Jii-Where did you get that Figment plush???? Are they tw different ones or did you change the hat? My son LOVES Figment!!! He would die for that!!

Because you specified shopping in the parks, my vote goes to Mouse Gear at Epcot. We love to shop for Disney stuff so we browse most of the shops on property.:earsboy:

i could spend hours shopping in Japan! i always buy a few "fun" bowls to add to my collection!

my favorite "park" shop for regular stuff is Mouse Gears in Epcot. i also love the retro t-shirts that they sell at Epcot.

Epcot all the way! Mouse Gears is excellent and HUGE. And then you have all of the Pavilions to chose from!

The first time DH, DS, and me went to Epcot together, my husband said we were going to buy a little something at each country that represented that country. To this day I still have them all displayed on a bookshelf with various pictures we have accumulated of our various trips. We got:
  • A maple leaf in glass in Canada
  • A Beer Stein in Germany
  • A tea cup and spoon in England
  • A dragon in China
  • A cat in Mexico
  • A tea set in Japan
  • An Eiffel Tower in France
  • A Place-mat in Norway
  • A glass slipper in Italy
  • A wooden marriage mask at the African Outpost
  • A baseball in USA
  • A wooden box in Morocco

does moise gears and world of disney carry the same merchandise

World of Disney, Mouse Gear (Epcot), Emporium (MK), the main store in DHS and AK all carry most of the generic Disney merchandise, such as characters oritems with the DW logo.

However, in each park there is park specific merchandise that you won't find at WOD - for example: clothing or at Epcot during F&G or F&W selected items were at WOD, but other items were only in Epcot. Also, there are stores near attraction exits that carry items that are attraction specific and those items are only in that one store. Examples include some items at the store by Star Tours, Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, Pirates and Test Track.

Finally some resorts have resort specific merchandise that can only be found at the stores at that resort.
