Which park for one day???

We will be visiting my mom in S Florida from 10/18-10/22, and will be able to go to WDW for one day!! But I'm having a hard time deciding which park (park hopper is out of the question). My favorite is AK, but DH's favorite is Epcot. Food & Wine will be going on at Epcot (we went to it last year), but MNSSHP will be going on at MK and I would love to see what they do for Halloween--I *heart* Halloween!! Suggestions???

Blow off AK, not worth it, even if it is your favorite. You've only got one day. Get a one day park hopper, go to MK early, and when they close for MNSSHP (you'll have to leave. . .GET OUT) take the monorail to EPCOT.

didn't see you can't get park hopper. . .to to EPCOT, you'll get more time in the park. They kick everyone without party tickets out.

I agree with Mattsdragon. We made the huge mistake one year of only having one day when my father came to visit me in Tampa to going to MGM in January. Like three rides were closed for renovations and we were completely ready to go by 4 pm
However, we had a great time when we did MK for the day.

ooo We're going to opposite ends, we live in S FLA but going to Orlando about those same dates, maybe we'll pass on the roads!

Animal Kingdom just ahead of the Magic Kingdom.

However, if you just want a day more so relaxing and avoiding the crowds and bigger queues - go for EPCOT.

Couldn't you buy a MNSSHP ticket, do that at night, and spend the day at Epcot? It maximises your Disney time then!! (even if it is a little demanding/exhausting)

I agree with the idea of MNSSHP at night and Epcot during the day, that is a great combination and a FULL day of Disney since MNSSHP ends at midnight.

Since you have all day how about a one day ticket to see Epcot or AK (have you been there since EE opened) for during the day and a ticket to MNSSHP for the evening, it's a separate ticket anyway and is only good from 4:00 on (at the very earliest).

If it were me I would buy a ticket for MNSSHP. We loved it so much last year that we planned another vacation just so we could go to the party again. The parade & fireworks are awesome!

If I wasn't going to do that I would pick MK. I love the other parks, but if I couldn't see MK it just wouldn't be very Disney to me.

I like the idea of Epcot or AK and then MNSSHP at night! So all we would need is the $40ish party ticket, we would not need a separate park ticket for MK?

DH will probably whine and complain so much that we'll have to go to Epcot no matter what!

Epcot is my favorite, but I haven't seen MNSSHP, so I'd do that, too.
