Which Out of Pocket Meal?

On Dining Plan, will be short one 1 Dining Plan. Which would you choose for your out of pocket dinner meal? Which is the less expensive?

Allears.net has menus with prices and there's a sticky at the top of this forum with prices for the fixed price buffet and all-you-care-to-eat places.

In general, all your buffets will be more expensive than the menu locations, so Akershus, Chef Mickey, F! Package, and O'hana should all be DDP credit meals. After that, take a look at the menus for Be Our Guest and TeppanEdo and see which is less expensive based on what you would order. Also, your whole group doesn't have to do OOP at the same meal or all DDP. For instance, if you're 4 adults, you could choose to pay OOP for the cheapest two people at Be Our Guest (whoever happens to order light that day) and use 2 credits for the pricier meals. Then at Teppan Edo, you do the same- use your last 2 credits for the pricier choices and pay OOP for the remainder.

If I pay out pocket, you suggest one w/o set price such as Be Our Guest or Teppan Edo. Which of the two would you choose?

If I were you, I'd take a look at the menus for the two places on allears.net and see what kinds of things your family would order at each place, then choose the cheaper place. At a quick glance, Teppan Edo seems to have lots of entrees priced $29-$32 and Be Our Guest has a wider range of choices from $22-30+, so it may be the slightly cheaper choice. However it really depends on what you'd order - a couple of sushi rolls at Teppan Edo come out lower than the steak and seafood combos. . .

I would pay oop for BOG if you choose the lower priced meals, When we went we had the steak which was very nice but on DDp.

I'd look at the menus allears.net to see what you'd be interested in ordering to calculate costs. I think your best bet to pay out of pocket will be Be Our Guest or Teppon Edo.
