I'm trying to decide which resort to pick. I think I'd like to stay club level. I have 3 water rats ( or as everyone else calls them 3 boys 9,6,6). Its our 1st trip to US (we have been to WDW many, many, many times boys could co host with Samatha Brown ;)) The boys are huge Harry Potter fans. Is one resort better for a Harry Potter family??? I hope these ??? make sense. Thanks getting excited. Planning is one of my fav parts of the vacation :thumbsup2

We have stayed at all three resorts over the last several years. Hard Rock is our least favorite. We have stayed at the Royal Pacific two or three times and it is my favorite but my DH prefers PBR. DD19 and DD23 both prefer RPR also. It has a great tropical feel and more relaxed. The rooms at RPR are the smallest and the PBR rooms are the largest. All the pools are great and they encourage pool hopping which we always take advantage of. The RPR is so close to IOA which is another perk since HP is at IOA.

As far as club level goes we have never stayed at Hard Rock's CL. We have stayed club level at both RPR and PBR but we all prefer club at RPR. The choices seem more kid friendly for that picky eater. And ok I prefer the beer choices at RPR too :rolleyes1.We are staying RPR Club Level this year again.

All the staff work hard and are very customer friendly.

We have stayed at Disney resorts about seven times also but have not been back since we started going to Universal. And although I love Disney resorts, I feel like Universal really treats you right. We have been upgraded several times. That never happened at Disney.

You won't be disappointed at any of the resorts.

I've stayed at the HRH and RPR.. The HRH is by far my favorite resort of the (2). The pool has lots of great activities, good places to eat & just a great vibe to it.

Again we have never stayed CL at HRH so I can't help there. However, the one time we stayed at HRH we checked in and they overbooked the hotel and had no room for us. They finally came up with a room but it only had 1 king bed for the four of us. They brought up rollaways for the kids but that took quite a while. We settled in and the bathroom plumbing had some serious problems which took forever to resolve. They moved us the next day but didn't have the room ready until late in the afternoon and that room also had plumbing problems. They tried hard to resolve these issues but I felt like I spent precious vacation time trying to get them resolved and they seemed disorganized. And although these issues could happen anywhere they have never happened at RPR or PBR.

Also now HRH is no longer associated with the LoewsFirst loyalty club so a stay does not count toward achieving a higher level.

Many, many people love HRH so I wouldn't shy away from it. I am a product of the 70's so I loved the atmosphere. And the walk to Universal is so convenient. PBR is also amazing. The atmosphere is quieter and more romantic which we liked, but the kids found it boring.

All three hotels are very nice. These boards have so much great info to help you decide.
