Which one would you share?

With the free dining package I no longer feel the need to "milk out" every dime at each meal... They managed to remove the $ goal in order to make the most out of the package... Now I'm thinking more along the lines of, how do we stretch the credits out...

There will be four of us, myself, DH and our two adult, or nearly adult DD's... as far as the plan is concerned both girls will eat off the adult menu... We have ADR's @ the following table service places...

Le Cellier Steakhouse
50's Prime Time Café
Alfredo's di Roma
Planet Hollywood
Chef de France - dinner for 2
Coral Reef - lunch for 2
Crystal Palace
Cape May Café

The last two are buffet breakfasts... The two listed "for 2" are on our Anniversary day, the girls will do their thing and we will do ours that day... We are there for seven days/six nights so we have six TS meal credits per person... I have seven TS meals lined up that I'd like to use credits for... My goal is to not have to pay out of pocket for any of them... I just have a problem with the idea of $19.00 per person for breakfast... :rolleyes1

My question is, which meals can we safely share?...
I know we can't share the buffet meals... I think with things like a 20 oz. ribeye on the menu Le Cellier is a safe place to share a meal and save a TS credit... if the girls share a meal there as well we have two credits saved... The Planet Hollywood meal voucher saves us a TS credit... Out of the remaining places listed which serves large enough meals and appetizers that we would be safe sharing?... I need four credits total... :confused3

TIA!!!

I have been thinking about sharing, as DD12 and DD13 have supermodel appetites. :rotfl: I am planning on sharing 3 TS credits between the four of us at our non-buffet meals. I am thinking about using our extra 2 TS credits for lunch at LTT on a day when I'm hoping to get early ADR at CP and we have dinner at 1900 Park Fare. That way we won't be too full before dinner.

And to be honest, it's not too little food I'm worried about...it's attitude. DH and I usually drink water(normally I order coffee, but not at the World :crazy2: ) and I know we may get attitude from our servers if we sit down with the four of us(and 2yo DS) and only use 2TS. For all that say it won't happen, we split 2 meal vouchers in the olden days for the four of us and got eyerolls :rolleyes2 and dirty looks galore. They didn't SAY anything, but it was unpleasant....

Most people (including my family) have not encountered ugliness or eye rolls when sharing. On your list, I'd figure on sharing 2 meals for 4 of you at Le Cellier. At Alfredo's , I'd plan on 3 meals serving 4 of you. Since you have a free voucher for Planet Hollywood, that should mean that you have 4 credits left...which I think was your goal.

Most people find that they have tons of food on the plan. We will use our CS to do both breakfast and lunch.

No personal experience but I've read alot of threads that the portions at Prime time are huge and even sharing there was too much food. If you only used 3 TS credits at the 1st four on your list (this includes planet hollywood where you have the voucher) that would give you the 4 extra credits to cover them all.

Since you only need 4 credits, my recommendation is to share each of the first 4 places you've listed. Order 3 meals at each, plus one extra plate and split the three meals up among the 4 of you. That's the safest way to ensure that you all have enough for everyone, since you are 4 adults. (If you were 2 adults and 2 kids, I'd recommend only ordering two meals at a time at every sit-down place and then book more ADRs)

I know from experience that Coral Reef portions are large enough to share, but since you only need 4 credits, I'd probably just order two meals there and leave the sharing to the places where 4 of you will be dining together.

FYI, Le Cellier no longer offers the 20oz steak.

Thanks so much for the advice... Since I'm the one that eats the least, I think I'll let everyone else order, and pick from all their plates!... :teeth:

i doubt you'd get attitude, but i'd highly suggest leaving an additional tip. it would be unfair to have to serve 5 people and get tipped for 2. IMO

Yes, ITA! :goodvibes Problem is that I find it impossible to reward someone who rolls their eyes when taking my order and sets it down in front of us with a dirty look. This happened to us on several occasions on our last trip. After hearing all of the good experiences of fellow DISers I will give it a try at one of our TS meals and see how it goes. If it goes well, I will tip well.

I guess I have no problem with shyness. If DM and I are sharing any meal...any time...Disney or not...I just tell the person taking our order that we WILL be tipping as if we ordered 2 meals....

And really....isn't a tip based on an appetizer, meal and dessert just about equal to just 2 meals.....because I wouldn't order all that just for myself anyways....

And why do staff give people dirty looks for drinking water? Hello....there are people who belong to AA out there....they don't drink alcohol....I don't generally have alcohol with dinner....haven't since I was old enough to drink....over 20 years ago...if you give me attitude about that....we will have to chat and your tip will go down....
