We have a choice of going to disney the third week of June for five nights, or waiting and going labor day week for six nights. We have been all times of the year, and we know usually that labor day week is light, but with the fairy tale package we
are concerned it will be more crowded this year. Also we would like to be in magic kigdom at night and actually see firworks. The thing about it is we usually go in the off season and are worried about the crowds in June. We are really excited but we will be patient if we will have a better time in Sept., but will we? Do the parks close early on Labor day week? And what about the weather, does it rain more in Sept.? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks:rolleyes:

September has always been my preference over June. Yes, the parks do tend to close earlier in September, but with lighter crowds, the lines are shorter and you can usually do everything you want within that time frame. Remember, they stay open later only when they expect the parks to be crowded. As far as the impact that the Fairy Tale package will have on September, I don't think it will be that much of a difference. People are loathe to take their kids out of school early in the school year, regardless of how good the deals are. Dreams is seeing far more bookings for June with that package then in September. Also, you can review historical park hours at
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm Just enter the dates you want to see from last year and you'll have an idea how late things stay open.

Yeah go during labor day, cause I'm going during that week in june

I'd choose September, too. The temperatures are great, even tho' you're likely to have some rain during your stay. But hey, it's Florida . . . I've had very few trips where I didn't encounter some rain for at least a day or two.

Don't let the prospect of rain dampen your enthusiasm for your trip: just plan for it, and be prepared. A bonus of rain is that it has a tendency of clearing some of the crowds who don't want to deal with it. Shorter lines for you!!

Try to avoid the holiday week-end if you can; can you possibly start your trip the Tuesday following? Holidays always add an extra number of guests to the parks.

Definitely go in Sept. There will be a tremendous difference in the heat and the crowds(especially kids). You really can't plan your trip around the possibilty of rain because in Florida you always have a chance of rain.

June and September have been my traditional trips. I'll always be glad to go in June when customers are paying for the hotel. But if I'm footing the bill, I'd go Labor Day hand's down, no questions asked. It's simply a great time to be in Disney. Low lines, low costs. And when you start worrying about low hours, don't. We've often done more in one short day in September than we can do in a pair of 14 hour days in June.

Now, if it's a choice between June and not going....then June's a GREAT time to be in WDW.

Definitely September. The kids will be back in school and that will make all the difference. We are going at the end of June, but if we could go after Labor Day, I would choose that in a heartbeat.

Have fun!

September. For the reason you said you could go for longer then.
