Need some help...we have not been to either and I only have space for one.

Thanks!

Unfortunately we haven't eaten at Sanaa....yet, but we really enjoy Artist Point. The atmosphere is very romantic and it is more quiet than other Signature restaurants. The steaks are amazing and so are the Sea Scallops. We have also had really great service both times that we have dined there. Good luck deciding.

Well Nicki, I'd vote if you had put the option of a total tie up there. :lmao:

I've eaten at both and I like them equally.

If forced, I'd probably give the slight edge to Sanaa only because the food items are more unique than those offered at Artist Point.

Nicki, It depends what you want to eat. If you like flavorful spices (not hot) than Sana is the place to try. Lots of currys and odd (not bad) spices. I tried it once and it was good, but nothing to compel me to go back. On the other hand, AP was a great suprise when I ate there this spring. I loved the setting and the peaceful dining room. Their cheese plate was one of the best I had the whole trip (and I had 5 of them that week!). I tried the crab and prawn hot pot dish and my friend had the buffalo steak. Both of the dishes were perfect, I wouldn't have changed a thing about them. The service was attentive without being intrusive and they let us enjoy a leisurely pace. I look forward to going back there on my next trip, Sana, not so much.

I voted Sanaa because I love looking at the animals before/afterwards. (And during, if you're lucky enough to get a table by the window!) I do very much like the food at Sanaa, too.

For me, there's no comparison. Artist Point is one of my favorite restaurants at Disney, by far (along with Citricos and Yachtsman). The food is high quality, seasonal and often creative, and I just love the Pacific Northwest influence (not something I can easily find at home). The dining room is peaceful and has tranquil background music. We've enjoyed almost everything on the menu - their buffalo, salmon, and berry desserts are usually quite fantastic.

Sanaa is rather tame Indian food - I can get more authentic and interesting dishes for half the price by driving 15 minutes from my house. The decor and animal views are nice, but you can get that for free just by walking around the lodge. We've never had great service here. Overall, I think Artist Point is a meal that I wouldn't want to miss, while Sanaa is a decent 1-credit restaurant but not inspiring Indian food.

Whichever you choose I will look forward to your reviews! I love reading about your adventures with Todd, and always love your pictures. I haven't eaten at either of these choices, but hubby and I will be trying Sanaa on our trip without the kids in January. It is one of only three reservations I made for that trip, the rest will be done Todd's way! Hope we have as good of luck.

Thanks for all the comments you guys...this is so hard because we dont want to eat a steak every single night so I though by adding in Sanaa that would give us a different meal.

I am trying to space it out like this, one night steak, one night Italian, one night seafood and keep repeating that pattern so we dont get sick of the same foods.

This dining thing is throwing me, I really think all signatures is the way to go..for variety, out of the norm and seasonal items. Any one else think this way?

Hey Nicki! I haven't eaten at Artist Point, but we LOVED Sanaa. I've followed your dining reviews and I think it's a place you'd enjoy too. It was delicious and a refreshing change of pace.

Speaking of dining reviews, looking forward to your next one!! :goodvibes

It's a really tough decision to make. Steak all night would definitely be a bummer. Do you think that's what you would get at AP? I think their menu has a lot of variety, currently including items such as halibut, scallops, and buffalo.

Sanaa is definitely a change when compared to other Disney 1-credit restaurants, which might make it an appealing choice. I just think if you're used to Indian food at home, it's not really worth the time or effort of going there. For me, AP's menu is just so great. They really keep things seasonal (more than some of the other signatures) and I love the atmosphere. Would it be possible to fit in a Sanaa lunch?

Sanaa. We dined here last October for the first time and loved it. We have an ADR for this October again. The food is so good and different from anything else you will find at WDW.

Flip a coin!

I loooove Sanaa.

I've been to AP once and was disappointed in the entree, loved the app, dessert, and service though.

So they're kind of tied for me right now.

Although it is a beautiful setting we didn't have a great experience at Sanaa so I'd choose AP.

Nicki,

I am an avid follower of your dining reports and there is one thing of which I am sure...I am FLOORED that you and Todd haven't been to either of these restaurants!!!????

Well, that definitely needs correcting! Are you sure you can't fit both? Maybe lunch at Sanaa and dinner at AP?

The atmosphere at Sanaa is beautiful and exotic. We found a few of the food items very very good (especially the tandoori lamb and the red and green curry stews). Most dishes were on par or not quite as good as our favorite Indian restaurant at home (nothing outstanding food-wise), but the ambiance made it just a little more special. Our experience at AP was phenomenal!!! The buffalo steak, filet mignon and scallops were amongst the best ever, though the salmon on that particular night was a little disappointing (to be fair, it was prepared with apples that night, and I don't really care for apples. I just ordered it on its reputation, which was a mistake).

I originally wasn't going to vote because I strongly believe you have to try both, but now that I have put my thoughts into words I am going back to vote for AP. I think you and Todd will love it. I am a red meat fanatic in WDW for some reason, too, and I think the buffalo is not-to-be-missed for a meat lover. If you visit AP on a non-red meat night, try the scallops. They were without a doubt the best scallops I've ever tasted, better than FF and better than our favorite places at home.
