Which one to bring? Peg Aria or Maclaren Quest for 15 month old to WDW?

I've been blessed with strollers...we have a Peg Aria and a Maclaren Quest...I love both and thats the problem...I'm having a hard time deciding which one to bring. I love the front tray on the Aria, but the last time we went to WDW it was a bit bulky to fold up and put on the little shuttle thing that gets you from the parking lot to the TTC, plus I didn't think I could take it on the railroad at MK. I love the Quest being so portable ..but then there is no front tray and the recline is not quite as deep as the aria for naps...so which one do you think I should bring for our upcoming trip? We only plan on going to Epcot this trip (need to see those flowers and topiarys!)....

Wish I had your delimma (Spelling)!!! We're still trying to decide which double stroller to buy!! If you're driving in, take both! Do you have any experience with Peg Aria double?

We'll be flying in so we can't take both! But in September we may drive...although I don't relish the thought of keeping my DS occupied for 22 hours on the drive down! Sorry no experience with a double stroller(wish I did!)

We have the Aria and the Mac Triump, when he was 15 months and 20 months we took the Aria. For our last trip 26 months we took the Triumph. I loved how small it folded for the bus but there was less storage. The Mac is much easier for my husband to push. He slept about the same in both. I feel the mac sun shade has a slight edge over the aria. The triumph has the carry strap so it was very convenient, but at your daughters age the tray is still nice. If you are going to be using a lot of the Disney transport where you need to fold the stroller and squeeze into a small space I say take the Mac. If your husband is tall, I say take the Mac. Otherwise you will be fine with the Aria.

I have experience with the Aria double! I had to return mine 3 times...the 3rd time was the final time. At that moment, I opted to buy the Maclaren Quest single. (My son is 4, so he is RARELY in the stroller anyway and didn't want to spend that much $$ on a double since I will rarely use it.) I had many things happen to the Aria double while I owned it:

1 - The canopy's ripped on all three of them. Not rip like a HOLE, but ripped so that the fabric was frayed on the ends. It looked like a run in a stocking and went ALL across the canopy.

2 - The ARIA and PEG PEREGGO stickers come off VERY easily.

3 - On two of the strollers, one of the front trays locks broke and the trays couldn't stay down

4 - One one of the strollers, the wheel stuck

5 - The basket underneath is HUGE! I loved that about the stroller. However, the cardboard in the lining bends and causes the basket to drag on the floor. It is attached to the stroller by little BUTTONS. I had the basket come undone on all three strollers MANY MANY MANY times. VERY ANNOYING!!!!!! :stir:

6 - The double, IMO, was hard to steer with a 40 pound kid in it! It is supposed to hold up to 45 pounds in each side, but I found it a chore to push it while my son was in it

Other than those issues, I LOVED how light it was and how compact it folded. But since it is an expensive stroller ($330), I didn't see wasting that kind of money on a double that had so many things wrong with it, and because I wouldn't use it much to justify that cost.

(For $330, the strollers shouldn't have had this many problems!!! :confused3 )

Ok I have a few more days to decide...will have to take some shopping runs in both to hone in on the choice but I am leaning on my quest as then I don't need to bring a bag (I have a stroller bag for the peg aria which is huge and a pain thru security) ..then again I probably should have a stroller bag for the quest...do people usually put their macs in bags at gate check in?

I think you're probably better off bringing the one your ds is most comfortable in at home - it's not going to make or break your trip the couple of times a day you or ds has to fold the stroller up - so bring the one your ds is happiest in. That said, I own a Mac and know that we have all kinds of trouble with it tipping when we take ds out if there's stuff hanging on the back. This becomes a big pain in the neck in DW where you usually do have stuff hanging off the back, and spend a lot of time removing and replacing the child.
So I guess I might lean toward the Aria. Once you board the bus with families of six trucking around seven year old Graco tandem strollers, you'll realize it's not so bad after all. :rotfl:

Good luck. Have a great trip!

Thanks for the feedback. I've heard of some of these problems before, but it appears they may be more widespread than I thought. It sounds like the Aria is just not a well made stroller. You would think with the price tag, it would hold up better! I am now seriously reconsidering the purchase of this stroller. Thanks so much.
