Which one sends you over the edge.

At one time or another we have all been there. Your sitting watching your favorite show. The station break begins and on pops a commercial. You suddenly find your grinding your teeth and your blood pressure is rising. Next thing you know you have made a mad dash to the remote and are changing the cahannel or muting the TV just to avoid a commercial that has upset you for no reason.

I'm certain almost everyone has at least one of them. My current one is the Toys-R-Us commercial in which the kids ask the mom to read them a bed time story and she picks up the toy catalog and reads the ads to them. Now I don't know why this ad drives me to suddenly become the sidekick to Satan, but it does. I guess I feel that is an insult to our basic intelligence, or perhaps more so to the intelligence of our kids.

Maybe I'm just finally fullfilling my mothers lament of "Nothing good can come from this!" But I've got a feeling that there are others out there who find the same problem chasing them to the remote.

So my question is simple:

Which Commercial sends you over the edge for no good reason?

Right now just about any election commercial...it doesn't matter if its a Republican or Democratic candidate....will send me right over the edge.

I can't stand the commercials for Hardees big burgers. The people eating them make alot of noise while chewing the food and that drives me nuts I definately change the channel when I see one of those coming on.

The Jenny Craig commercials. Can't stand Kirstie Alley trying to be sexy, humorous or hearing her go Mmmmm....I grab that remote AFAP! UGH!

Here in GA we are in the midst of an ugly gubernatorial race, seems like that's been all we have been seeing lately. In the past day or so though, we are also being subjected to the back biting of the Alabama races too (we're right on the GA/AL border). Even my kids are sick of them!

The only commercial that's ever made me mad is Dentyne Fire.

Seriously... A mom and dad sitting on the couch watching their teenage daughter making out with some guy and getting turned on by it just makes me want to be sick. I hate to even think what kind of message this sends out to perverts who do get off on that type of thing.

There is a credit card company with a German guy showing how he uses the card. One - I can't understand half of what he's saying & Two - it's just silly stuff!

And yes, one week from now those stupid political ads will be over (for now!)

It's a campaign ad for a cigarette tax in CA where they actually got the head of a teachers association and others to make statements against the prop that are sooooo misleading. It's completely pathetic. If you read the proposition, their comments make them look like fools.

Oh, have you hit the nail on the head!!!!! I have so many commercials that just make my skin crawl. But the ones that come to mind real quick are....

the NutriSystem one where the girl says (my husband couldn't keep his hands off of me) GAG ME, it's just something about the way she talks, her voice and the way she doesn't move her lips.

Sharpie markers. There is one where a little boy is crying but stops once his mom picks him up. I CANNOT STAND to hear that kid cry. It's so annoying.

And I'd have to agree about the campaign ads. SHUT UP ALL READY (and I approve this message)

I'm really sick of the Enterprise commercial where three women walk out of a building and one says "Let's go girls!".

And not only do we get the finger-pointing Georgia gubernatorial ads, but most of the Congressional races in our area are using attack ads, too. Hopefully those should all be gone by next week - unless there's a run-off.
