Except the Cabins, which Mod hotel is best for an Autistic preschooler? Would a Value be better?

He talks loudly. He dislikes sudden loud noises in enclosed spaces, for example when he is out to eat and the waitstaff start singing Happy Birthday to another patron, he will freak out. He likes to go outside, but dislikes getting dirty. He likes the pool. He is picky with food and we will probably have to bring our own. He sleeps in his own bed in our bedroom, but he can sleep in his own room. He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He likes Jake and the Disney Junior channel.

There's a saying; if you've met one autistic kid, you've met one autistic kid. What that means is each one has his or her own unique issues and what works for one may be completely opposite for another. You need to figure out what he needs and what he needs to avoid and narrow down your options from there.

From what you're saying, I think that choices you make when you're there will be more important than which resort you stay at. If you're going to eat in the food court at your resort you REALLY want to be there at off hours to avoid the crowds, chaos and noise. If you're going to swim, a quiet pool is probably better than a feature pool and probably not mid-late afternoon (your kids will probably need to sleep then anyway) because that's when the pools are most crowded. I'd recommend room requests away from the hussle and bussle (at POR and POFQ, requesting a river view will get you a very quiet location; I don't know if there are other categories that will guarantee a quiet location at value or moderate resorts).

You need to be aware that LOTS of people celebrate birthdays at WDW and I think that just about every single TS meal we've had included at least a few happy birthday songs. Eating at off times and non-character meals/less popular restaurants will lessen this but it's pretty hard to avoid.

I'd look at pictures of the resorts on sites like allears.net and get a feel for what style will work best for him and what style will overwhelm him. Values are very over the top theming with lots of visual stimulation. Moderates are lower key theming though some do find the mardi gras stuff hanging food court at POFQ to be scary. Look them over and figure out what works best for your family in general and for him.

Note that the values have full sized beds while some of the moderates have queens (I think CBR is the only one that still has fulls). Don't forget about the All Star Family Suites as well if the extra room would help (plus there's a fridge and microwave in the room which the regular values don't have). Since you're 6 months out, you can also consider the new Art of Animation suites which has REALLY over the top theming if that's something that you do decide you want.

Thanks for the help. I will just pick something and chalk it up to a learning experience!
