I've read both books. I'm on a little mini-vacation from work, I have the house to myself, and I am thinking of renting a movie OnDemand.

Which one is better?

I have heard my Sister Keeper is nothing like the book. Which annoys me when the change a book around. So I would choose Julie and Julia

But I haven't seen My Sister's Keeper, so I can't compare it.

Watched Julie and Julia last night. It is really good. I haven't see the other one, but wouldn't watch it anyway, it seems to sad to me.

I read My Sister's Keeper and loved it but was disappointed with the movie.

Julie and Julia is lighthearted and My Sister's Keeper is a tear jerker. I liked both of them and don't think you can go wrong watching either or them.

I've watched both and prefer Julie & Julia. I was peeved that My Sister's Keeper didn't follow the book. It was okay but a REAL downer.

Dont know about My Sisters Keeper, but Meryl Streep was absolutely fabulous in Julie & Julia

I ave tried to watch Julie & Julia three times now and cannot manage to finish it. zzzzzz..... boring!

I loved "My year in France" by Julia Child so I was looking forward to Julie and Julia. I knew it wasn't the same book but just hoped that more of Julia would be in the movie.

I thought Streep did a great Julia and love the guy that played her husband and wanted more of them. The Julie parts were only ok for me.

I know nothing of the other option.
