We will be visiting Florida in December for a daughter/gramma/grandaughter trip. My dd will be 10. We will be staying onsite at CBR for 4 nights and then moving to a condo we will rent through Interval International.
I have a few options and am hoping someone can give me some advice on the best one. A few requirements is that it be modern, close to Disney, have a great pool ( we are from Northern Ontario Canada so I doubt it will be too cool for DD to swim) and be near resturants, stores etc.
So the options are:
Marriott's Cypress Harbour
Marriott's Grande Vista
Marriott's Royal Palms
Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club
Sheraton Vistana Resort

Thanks for any advice!

marriott's cypress harbour - has everything

now both
Marriott's Royal Palms
Sheraton Vistana Resort

are closer to Disney.

but for everything you want CH

if you can find the option
Horizons at MVC - has a great swimming pool for little ones

I agree with the Cypress Harbour recommendation but I don't think that you'd go wrong with Grande Vista either. The resort is very, very nice and all of the villas have been refurbished (Marriott moved to the refurb at Grande Vista after CH was completed so that's still going on). The two resorts have pretty the same in terms of most amenities but Grande Vista has a sit-down restaurant at the golf clubhouse near the security gates and, IMO, an upgrade of setting and layout of the bar and grill areas than CH. Grande Vista is a much larger resort than Cypress Harbour and has a couple of area pools that serve the villas that furthest from one of the two large pool settings - that's actually rather nice as those smaller pool areas seem not be used very much. Cypress Harbour has one such additional pool at the end of the lake relatively near the activities center. The other comment that I'd make in regards to Cypress Harbour is that the staff there seems nicer and more accommodating than at any other Mariott that we've stayed at - at Cypress Harbour we've always gotten the building that we've requested and usually the floor within the building we've asked for.

These are two outstanding resorts.

I don't think you'd go far wrong with any of them. If there is any difference in unit size, grab the biggest. If one is cheaper than the other, go with the less expensive.
