Which months/times of year generally see the best ticket discounts and promotions?

We are currently planning an October 2017 trip and trying to decide on our ticket options since MNSSHP is an option too. Are the Buy 4 get 3 days free ticket promotions or cash back at Orbitz/Expedia etc or anything similar usually released at a certain time of year or just really random from year to year? We still have until August to have tickets secured for our FP+ but the planner in me just wants the tickets bought :)

I like the late August discount best. One travel agent offers 50+% off of deluxe rooms and discounted park tickets. The discounts are so massive that other posters are reporting that they are saving thousands of dollars by booking this deal instead of "free" dining.

Whoa. Seriously? That's mighty tempting if we think we could withstand the weather.

I don't think October has great deals because it is usually busy, parks and rooms are full due to F &W and MNSSHP.

What dates are included in this and are the dates usually about the same from year to year? TIA!

Do you have a name or a direct link by chance?

The late August deal is the best and the weather really isn't that bad. We do RD, midday break at the pool and PM park with FP+. Crowds are lower too. We always have a great time.

The weather is, of course, a matter of personal preference/experience/tolerance.

Not everyone where I live (Syracuse, NY) would find the humidity unbearable. We do have humid summers compared to out west, for sure. But I'm completely serious that I got very little enjoyment from being in Orlando in late August, and I'm not the only person who's ever felt that way. I wouldn't do it again.

Heat/humidity is just something for each individual to weigh.

I won't go any other time but August. I went the 3rd week of July as an adult once and I thought it was the hottest trip ever! My DH agrees. Growing up we always went during Sikorsky shut down so the last week of JUly/first week of August but I was a teen/tween so weather wasn't an issue!

But August-no coats, sweaters, pants, long sleeves...aka less luggage! Like an above poster we go to whatever park opens early that day, leave room by 7-7:15 (eat breakfast in our room while we are getting ready), then we have lunch in the park, leave and would always take a nap, shower and return til park closing. Next trip, will be next year and my kids won't nap...maybe my oldest will since she will be 17 and want to sleep. Growing up we always did the pool for mid day break so I assume that will be the case out next trip. DH I am sure will nap and I will nap in the sun!

But we don't do a park on arrival or departure days and we only do 2 park days in a row so we can have a rest/pool day. We bring a max of 5 outfits and wear 2 a day and do laundry almost daily...or on that pool day.

August is a fabulous time and yes I have taken advantage of that TA discount with the free water park.
