When staying in one of the DVC buildings close to the TTC, is there any advantage to walking to the TTC and taking the Express monorail to the Magic Kingdom rather than walking to the Great Ceremonial House and taking the Resort monorail? Shorter walk, better hours, more frequent trains, smaller crowds, more efficient security, anything like that?

In my experience it's usually easier to do the TTC. If you miss a resort monorail it's a long wait for the next one.

This comment is splitting hairs a bit, but the only time I don’t really like using the TTC is during heavy rope drop/morning crowds since you have to join the security lines with everyone walking from the parking lot or trams. For me I’d rather deal with the typically lighter flow of guests at the Poly monorail station during that time of day. Otherwise I could easily do either depending on location within Poly grounds at the time, mood, etc.

At rope drop does the vehicle traffic into the TTC parking lot get held to a certain time? It seems like we are almost always able to get to the (relative) front of the lines for security when we walk over from the Poly and I wonder if it is because we get some sort of head start (or have we just been very lucky)?

I agree with the other poster that at rope drop, I prefer to use the Poly monorail, Poly boat, or TTC boat. Any other time of day I think the TTC monorail can be a better option depending on where you are in the resort.
