We are going to Disney for the first time with children in September. We are thinking of CBR and PORQ or POR. What do you recommend? We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old?

Is CBR to isolated? Are we better off at PO with the boatride to DD?

Thanks for your input.

POFQ gets my vote. CBR is not too isolated, just very large. We had a problem with our check-in this past Nov.-it took 45 minutes and we don't know why. My DH won't stay there again because of it. Also the size of the POFQ Resort is much smaller and cozier. We are staying there in Oct. We have stayed there once before and loved it. I think a smaller resort is easier with the little ones. No matter what bldg. you stay in, it is a short walk to food court and bus stop. Also the bus shared with POR always picks up at POFQ first, so you will always have a seat. You are within walking distance to POR, so you can always venture over to visit, go to their food court, and use their pools also. You would have pool privileges at both no matter which one you stay at. Whichever resort you decide on, have a great time!

Almost forgot, welcome to the Boards!:D

I would vote for POFQ also. The pool (and much of the hotel) has been recently updated. I was by there in March, and I think they are putting a dock in by the pool so you may be able to pick up the DD boat there.

It may be moot, but actually I would urge you to consider Poly or Contempory. With two small children you probably a) spend most of your time at MK and b) want to tafe afternoon breaks. Being close to the MK will make a big difference. I know it's more expensive, but you should be able to find some deals in Sept.

Another vote for POFQ! We really like this resort for a few reasons - bus stop first!, boat to DD!, smaller resort and the recent renovations. We had good mousekeeping and they always did some cute little thing with our ds's stuffed animals! You also have a nicely themed pool area and the best beignets in the World!

POFQ. I just returned yesterday from both POR and POFQ, Riverside needs some updating, where as FQ looks great. The pool area is really good for the little ones, less of a walk and alot less crowded than Riverside. I visited CBR, its huge and very spaced out which probably means lots of walking. The boat to DTD is not a decision maker though, it took a while to get on and it was a very slow ride, the bus was much quicker.

POFQ does have the advantage of being smaller and first on the bus stop. It's a big plus if you go to MK alot.

We stayed at POR. POR has bus stops 2-5. POR had a general store and it's food court was open until at least 11:00 pm. I usually returned from the parks late, and went there to buy some small cartons of milk for the kid's bedtime. I found that convienent. However, I didn't find diapers in the POR general store. Fortunelly, we brought enough with us.

I would stay at POFQ next time since the rooms were recently updated, but check with the staff to see what kind of supplies you can get for your little ones. Also ask about the food court hours.

CBR is well located, and I noticed the bus lines were smaller as we left the parks heading to POR's bus stop. I never stayed at CBR, so I can't help you.

First off ... WELCOME!!! You are bound to find answers to your every Disney Question here!!! These folks ROCK!!!! Let me tell you about why *I* love the POFQ ... We arrived at POFQ on March 30th and instantly fell in love with it!!! The small intimate size of it is amazing! The newly refurbished EVERYTHING gives it the feel of a deluxe with a moderate price!!! The food court was nice and the CM's were MAGNIFICENT!!! I agree with everything said about it so far. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus and since we were always picked up first (unless coming by bus from Downtown Disney), we always got a seat. There is a great little playground but even better, a HUGE patch of grass that the little ones enjoy running around on! I really want to return there again, but as I have mentioned so many times, dh insists we visit each resort once before returning to one for a second time :::big ole meanie head!::: LOL You will NOT regret staying in the POFQ. We have stayed in the CBR a few years back and LOVED the feel of the place, but since then, unfortunately, its gotten somewhat of a bad rap ... its just getting older and not as 'clean' as it could be. CS was nice too, but too 'convention-y' for us when we went. The POR is BEAUTIFUL, but it is so large compared to the POFQ ... the POR has 4 bus stops vs POFQ's one bus stop. Anywhere you go is FUN!!! That much is sure ... but with little ones, sometimes it is nicest to have that 'small' feeling. Enjoy your trip!!!!

Just not a POFQ fan here. Stayed once and am going back to try it again soon.

CBR gets my vote. Lovely resort. Bright colors. Nice ambience. Good bus service.

POR is my all time favorite but it needs to be updated so I'd wait until it's completely refurbished.

Have fun!
