I am helping a friend plan their first family trip to Disney. They have 2 daughters, 3 and 6. They will be staying for 4 nights. Would you stay at a moderate or a value resort? Which one? They will probably spend the majority of their time in the parks, but will still spend some time at the room. Thank you very much for all of your help!

Port Orleans French Quarter. The Theme throughout is tops in our book and the size can't be beat. The boat ride to DTD is a nice touch too. Second choice is Coronado Springs because it is the newest and we really enjoyed the food court there. Port Orleans Riverside is next. I would never stay at CBR ever again, it is the oldest and in my opinion when they built it they scrimped so much on that build and then learned their lesson and never were that cheap again on the rest of the moderates.

The value’s all look loud and gaudy to me. Not looking forward to staying there this February with the High School Band.

If a moderate is the decision, I would probably chose Port Orleans Riverside. I've stayed at Caribbean Beach. It's nice, but I'd wanna try someplace new. French Quarter, though I like the smaller size better, doesn't appeal to me in terms of the look. Coronado Springs holds no interest to me at all.

Give the age of the children, I would tell them to stay at All Star Movies. First off, with not spending alot of time in the room, why pay for amenities you won't use? Secondly, they'll appreciate the All Star look alot more. Thirdly, the bus service is much better there than at any of the moderates.

We stayed at POFQ in July and loved it. The resort is very pretty and so compact that you never have a long walk to anywhere. The pool is lovely, the bus service excellent and the boat to Downtown and Riverside an added bonus.

We are trying ASMo next time as so many people have recommended it. As we spend very little time in the resort we felt a value was the way to go.
