We are in the planning stages of our first family trip. We are planning on going the first week of May 2009. (hey, I like to be prepared) At that time our kids will be 2 and 3.

I would LOVE to stay at a deluxe but it is just out of our budget. So...lay it on me folks.... which moderate do you think would fullfil all of our vacationing dreams??? Is that too much pressure? ok then.....any tips, pics and suggestions would be great TIA!

PS.can those minifridges hold a weeks worth (twelve individual containors)of 'yobaby' yogurt?? My kids suck those things down like it's going outta style....

I think a lot of people would say POFQ because it is the smallest of the mods so less walking to get to your room to the pool, food court and bus. This was my first WDW resort when my first son was 2.5 yrs old and it worked well. It didn't take us forever to walk and he could walk it all himself. The pool is nicely themed for kids though he spent all of his time in the baby pool - which is also adorable. You also have the boat to DtD and you can walk over to POR and use their pool, food court and sit-down if you want.

I'm going back here next month - it is still a favorite.:thumbsup2

All the mods are very nice, it just depends on your needs and what you like for a theme. If size is a factor, POFQ is the smallest resort. The other three mods are large. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

Probably POFQ since your kids are so young. It's a much smaller resort and the pool is great for little ones.

Another vote for POFQ... although I have also stayed at CSR and it is lovely. I would still go with POFQ because of the size.... and you are the first to get on the bus as they share with POR.... so you are more likely to have a seat for your little ones.... the frigs are like dorm size.... not huge....

Returning from the parks is where I had problems with POFQ and POR because it's all one big queue. With kids and strollers it can be a hassle. That's why I prefer CSR.

We love the POR. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old and we had no problems staying at the POR. It was absolutely beautiful and very convenient!

We stayed at CSR when the kiddos were 2 & 3. I liked it because we didn't share a bus with any other resort, we didn't wait over 7 minutes for a bus in the 10 days we were there, the busses were very rarely "standing room only" and we could both get seats and just hold the kids on our laps, and I liked the selection at Pepper Market for them.

I also used to take walks with them in the strollers at home, so they were used to sitting in a stroller for long periods. I didn't find it a hassle at all to be at a large resort. We stayed in Cabanas (I think 2B) and it was fairly close to everything. We also rented the large bikes with the big rack on the front that the kids could sit it. They loved that, but August in Florida was a bit hot for that activity.;)

ETA: You should also be able to fit all the yogurt in the small fridge. We fit 2 entire boxes of Capri-Sun in the fridge (obviously had to take them out of the boxes), but you can stack them on top of one another.
