There appears to be at least 3 different models of Keurig single-cup coffee makers. I can't seem to see (on-line) what the differences are. Does anyone know what these differences are? There's obviously a price difference, but other than that, what gives?

we have the deluxe one. Basically it has a larger brew tank and the ability to set an on/off timer and the water temp.

No idea if it was worth it. We got it as a gift and only use it for tea and hot chocolate. rarely at that.

We have the Platinum edition. It has a water reservoir and 5 sizes to choose from, as well as being able to set the water temp and on/off times. :)

We love ours and use it at least twice a day. :goodvibes

We have the middle size one and love love love it! Three sizes, set the water temp and a timer. My favorite source for K-Cups is BigCatCoffees.com, excellent selection and price, free shipping over $50. Additionally, you can create packs of 25 five at a time so you can try a bunch of different kinds without spending a fortune.

I keep going back to wanting just one cup of coffee in the morning. When I made coffee for my Mom, I made her decaf, but I prefer full caf. Now that I am just making coffee for myself, I'm thinking this may be the way to go.

I tend to want really strong coffee. Will one K-cup make a strong serving? And can I make it a big mug? (my Mickey the Sorcerer mug is quite large!)

There are three different models

The small one will do just one cup of coffee before having to refill the water. It is great if you do just drink one and takes up less counter space.
If you want more than one at a time or are having people over I would suggest the other two models. The one for around 140 has 2 different size cup sizes I believe. It does have a big reservoir for the water like the next model. The one for about 170 has more sizes for the cup size. It also has more bells and whistles. I believe if you use the big cup setting the coffee is just weeker than the smaller settings. I can check at work and get more info if you need it. I am sure if you check the Keurig web site you will find the info you need. I do not drink coffee but everyone I talk to gets hooked on it.

I am subscribing.....

My friend let me borrow her low-level 1 cup Keurig. So far, these are my wishes:

Hotter coffee
bigger cups ( this thing brews little amounts! )

I bought the little My K Cup thingy and it seems to be working well......

Newman's bold coffee is strong. I have to run it twice using the same k cup to get it to the strength I like when I do that it fills my Disney refillable mug.

I love my Keurig! I bought mine at Costco last Thanksgiving, it's a model B77. Use it *all* the time.

Unfortunately, I just started having some trouble with it. The water pump was sometimes not working well, and I'd have to turn it off and on and mess with the water reservoir to get it to run. I called Keurig about this yesterday morning when it wouldn't make my morning cup. They're sending me a new machine, no charge to replace it.

I had heard that there were a batch of them that had this trouble with the pump, and I couldn't be happier with Keurig's customer service response to the problem.

Where else can you buy an electric appliance that you use daily for 7 months and then get a full, no hassle replacement when you have a little trouble?

I have the one-cup model... the MINI Plus...

I like it because I am the only person who drinks coffee in this house, and I can make my single cup when I want one, and know that the water is fresh. (Sometimes I go days, weeks, without making a cup.) Then, if someone comes over and wants a cup, I can just pop in the water and make a fresh cup for them.

It works for ME because of these reasons... don't drink LOTS of coffee, and I am the only one who does. No reason for me to store water IN the machine. I add as I go. :thumbsup2

We had the same problem with ours and Keurig did the same thing. We were shocked that they just sent us a new unit.

I bought the Breville model from Williams Sonoma and LOVE it!!! It was pricey but had tons of features. It has a large water reservoir with its own built in filtration system, you can choose between 4 different strengths/sizes, it has an iced coffee setting, you can set your own temperature, it keeps the water warm so when you want a coffee it literally ready in seconds, there is an automatic programmer, and more!
It has been great, I highly recommend it!!

I also have the one from Costco (and mine also broke about a month ago and got a replacement within days!). My favorite setting is the iced coffee setting - it makes a double strength cup that you can use for an iced coffee. I literally use that 3-5 times a day (yes, I admit I have a problem...). I also like the big reservoir and multiple cup sizes.

I bought the B66 model from BJ's about 2 years ago as a Christmas gift for DH. He's the only coffee drinker in the house so it works out great. We have three settings on ours but mostly use the largest setting.

I get our K-cups from our local grocery store for a 12 count. For an 18 count I go to Bed, Bath & Beyond. However, BJ's has 80 count boxes of the coffee available at their stores.

I manage hotels for a living and we are opening an new one next month.

We got the single cup version for each of our guest rooms with a neat little K-cup condiment kit .

When bought in bulk, like we did, the price was actually really low (with a rebate and the volume discount, we were just over $20 a unit).

While the price per cup, is a little higher then the normal in room coffee makers, we felt it was worth it for our hotel.

Ours started shorting out after 2 years and they sent us a brand new one. I was shocked!

:lmao:

I'm glad to hear their customer service is so good. I can't drink coffee any longer and my husband has mostly stopped just because he doesn't like fixing a pot of coffee just for him. We're staying at a Universal Resort next month and we'll have a Keurig in our room. If he likes it, I'm planning to buy him one as a surprise after the trip. It's good to know we can likely count on them to make it right if we have a problem with ours.

that's a fantastic deal. I'm also in the hotel business, so I'm curious how you got it? I doubt we'ld be looking to go for the higher cost per cup, but you never know...
