I am trying to pick out a stroller for my big kid. She is 5, 53 lbs and 46 inches. I know she will not be okay walking all week so we will be taking something for her and my younger daughter. I have decided on 2 maclarens with the stroller connectors. I will most likely get 2 of the some model unless someone can tell me for sure if the stroller connectors will work with 2 different ones (ie.1 volo and 1 triumph) The most important thing I need to figure out is which stroller she will fit most comfortably in. I was originally thinking the Volo which she tried at Target and had about 2 inches head room but said it was comfortable. I am not stuck on them needing to recline. Now I am wondering if she would do better with the Quest for the extended leg rest. I am driving myself crazy and we leave in a month so I need to make a decision. I am not interested in any of the larger mac models do to the price. So which one do you think she would fit the best in? Volo, Triumph or Quest? I am not anywhere near a place that I can take her and try her in all 3 or I would have already done so. Any advice would be great. Thanks!:confused3

My DS is the same size as your DD and is fine w/o the leg rest. IMO save yourself some $ and go w/ Volos.

We are going to be at the CR May17-22. I just bought a Mac VOLO, in the crimson red for our 38 lb, 7 year old. He will only need it for the trip and I was going to sell it the day we leave.

I have a triumph and a quest and NO the stroller connectors do not work with both of these. The front wheels keep getting caught up and I think its because the quest wheels are bigger than the triumph. I personally would go with the quest for a five year old. The seat is wider and deeper and the stroller has bigger, more manageable wheels. However, my quest is pink and my 3 yr old will be using that and my triumph is red so my 5 yr old will have to use that (he refuses to sit in a pink stroller). He fits in the triumph ok but is more comfortable in the quest, due to his length.

We used a Volo for my DD when she was 6-8. No problems and she fit great!

I would just get the volos. She wont be using it a lot at home, so save the money and get a volo, since she has sat in it and you know she fits fine. We have two volos for our trip.

We went to Babies R Us and tried out all the Macs. It was very easy to compare that way. You could also line the strollers up side by side to see if the connectors would work.

We ultimately chose the Techno XLR for our 51", 55 pound 5 year old as it does hold up to 65 pounds (with the other Macs, he was already at the upper weight limit.) and lots of head room.

We're taking two Volo's. I have no idea about the other single styles. We did have a MacTechno side-by-side with the seat extension. It made no difference. My boys didn't really need the seat to extend to be comfortable. (The little poles pull out of the seat sides. So when they are pushed in, the front part of the seat hangs. Hope that makes sense. It's also more fabric, so it's hot and won't dry as quickly as the Volo's.)

I did want to comment on using two together. If you use the stroller connectors, lock the front middle wheels straight, so they won't swivel. The outer ones will still swivel and it keeps the wheels from getting tangled.

Thats a great tip! I just ordered the connectors, and I had read that the wheels can get tangled. Thanks!
