Which location to request for studio at BCV?

Closer to EPCOT and perhaps with a view of Illuminations from balcony plus a newly refurbished area would be preferred. Any ideas? Thanks.

BCV is pretty small, one location vs another is not going to make much difference as far as being close to Epcot.

We never request a view here because there's no great views. We just request to not be in bottom floor (we prefer a balcony over a patio).

Wise words. No great view at BCV and it is small, so you are close anywhere. You can't request an Illuminations view, but you can request woods view and you might get it. Or you might get the view we had last time - woods and only noise from Illuminations, no view.

Try requesting these room numbers 322,325,327,422,425,427,525,527 should all have illumination view.
331,431,531 might work also
Hopefully you can get one of them, if you get 322 or 422 you can take the stairs and even save a few steps to Epcot.

IMO, 422 has a great, straight on view of Illuminations-

It's also right around the corner from the elevators and the laundry room. Definitely one of the most convenient and best views of Illuminations I've had. Be aware, though, that the balcony is very small and the lower part of the balcony is a solid wall, not open rails.

You don't want to request by a room number because if that room is occupied, they won't know where to put you. The best you can do is when they tell you what villa you are assigned to, if it is not one of those villas, ask it one of those are available.

Only once did I request an Epcot view and it was the worst view we've ever had! [Service roads/dumpsters]. It did look pretty seeing the ball lit up at night, but I'll stick with pool view requests in the future.

I usually ask for close to the mail elevator. Closer to the main building than walking past the pool.

I agree you can't just request 1 or 2 room numbers.

I always request by room numbers, but I may request between 10 & 20 different numbers, I know exactly which rooms would be acceptable for what I'm looking for. The more numbers you request the better your chances of getting one. I'm usually successful 85 to 90% of the time, which is better than taking pot luck.

The other thing is don't just accept if the front desk clerk says nothing you want is available, you'd be surprised what they can do with a little persistance on your part, and never be demanding or get nasty.
Works for me at least at the Beach Club, which is where I stay the most.
